“You’re here!” Sarah exclaimed with a grin. She charged at Leona wearing the bathing suit she’d teased about. It was ultra cute. Super-mega-ultra cute in fact. A one-piece with pink cats all over it, true to her nature. She also carried a small waterproof bag which she had slung over her shoulder. She threw her arms around Leona, almost bowling her over onto the driveway where she’d been waiting right as they’d stepped out of Quinn’s car.
“Hahahahaha! That bathing suit is ridiculously cute! Don’t you feel a little embarrassed?” Leona blushed, grinning and hugging her in return.
“Nope!” Sarah pursed her lips into a small cat-like grin. “I’d be really embarrassed if I wore a two piece swimsuit but my parents would never allow that anyway!”
“Shhhh…” Quinn laughed as she spotted Sarah’s parents walking out from their home arm-in-arm. They wore serious expressions causing Quinn to stepforward with a warm smile. “I’ll take good care of them. I’m used to chaperoning thanks to my little sister. You can count on me.”
“Make sure you do.” Sarah’s father offered a smile. “She’s a handful. See to it that she doesn’t do anything wild or meet any of that criminal element I hear San Isidro is famous for.”
Leona had to wonder what her parents were doing here instead of over in Seaside if it bothered them so much. Leona spoke up, “It’s not that bad… I mean, crime’s been on the rise recently but that doesn’t mean the people of San Isidro are bad.” Sarah’s mother gazed pensively at the two as she noticed how Sarah’s hug hadn’t ended yet.
“So, what brought you folks to town?” Quinn asked, overriding Leona’s statement. “Not that we’re not happy to have Sarah here. She’s been nothing but great!”
Leona’s new friend’s mother smiled warmly while the father frowned. “A forced relocation by my company. Apparently the corporate taxes are lower here.” He was not at all happy to be here. “Profit matters above all to corporations. I could have commuted, but the quickest way would be to go via the gondola. It’s a bit too slow. The drive would have been an hour and a half up the coast, so I settled for the best neighborhood I could find here.”
“Oh! It’s a lovely home though.” Quinn laughed, scratching her head. “Nicer than ours, though ours isn’t bad either. Ma owns a cafe. The people who come in are nothing but friendly and wonderful. They hug every day. You can’t expect to see that kind of thing too often outside a church, am I right?” she asked lamely.
“That sounds wonderful. Do they worship when they come?” Sarah’s mother’s eyes sparkled.
“Uh… not as far as I know… ahahaha… we’re not exactly devout or anything like that… but we feed the body and soul in all kinds of healthy ways. Everyone calls her Goonie, and that’s her beatnik creed.”
Sarah’s father scowled and spoke, “You should be on your way. The day will be gone before you leave at this rate.” Sarah’s mother looked at her husband with narrowed eyes.
“Don’t be so harsh,” she chided him and laughed. “Go on, kids. Have fun today! There’s a lovely pie in the oven waiting for you when you get back. Make sure you come home before it gets cold. You can all have some.” Sarah’s mother offered.
Leona gestured and tugged Sarah toward the backseat of the convertible. Seeing Leona hop over the door into her seat, Sarah less gracefully followed suit. She looked a bit anxious as Quinn hurried to the driver’s seat, hopping in herself. It was almost expected to not use the doors, like ever. Before he returned inside, Sarah’s father turned back for a moment. “Drive safely.”
“SHIT! No offense Sarah, but your dad’s pretty strict…” Quinn complained as they drove down San Isidro’s main boulevard. An alarm rang off in the distance indicating some sort of theft was in progress. It didn’t happen every day but it happened more often these days now that Cheshire was nowhere to be seen.
“I’m not offended.” Sarah fidgeted. “Daddy’s a bit stern, but he's a good Christian. Dad… he expects nothing but the best from me.”
Leona wasn’t sure if she should comment.
Sarah eventually broke the uncomfortable silence. “Anyway, I’m so happy to be going with you to a waterpark.” She gazed at Leona pensively. “But, I’m wondering why you chose that swimsuit. It’s not as cute as mine even though you’re cuter than me. I’m wondering if you wore that to make me giggle.” Leona laughed and blushed beet red, resenting Quinn for convincing her to wear it.
Leona was wearing a gaff beneath a stereotypical Japanese school one-piece swimsuit. It felt a little smaller than it actually was when she started to become more self-conscious. On the other hand, Quinn was rocking a lovely bikini beneath the layer of clothes she wore to make a better impression on Sarah’s parents. Leona wasn’t quite sure how that actually worked out considering her hair was still olive-green. She wore a light and breezy green sundress with sandals.
Quinn and Sarah screamed happily as they slid down a waterslide. Leona held onto Sarah to control her position and scooch her away from certain key sensitive areas. If something unexpected happened, things might get really really really awkward. ‘By accident’ wasn’t how she wanted Sarah to find out what she had down there.
Even so, the two were otherwise uninhibited as they landed in the pools, swam madly for the edges, only to run to the next slide. Sarah sought out the most exciting ones as Leona followed, grinning at how happy and enthusiastic she was being. While they were waiting in line for the biggest slide, Leona decided to ask. “By the way, how did you manage to sneak out to a rave when your parents are so…?” She didn’t complete that line.
Sarah’s shoulders jumped, but eventually she laughed. “Um… it’s not often but I rebel a bit sometimes… I didn’t tell them where I was really going… I said it was a small anime convention. My father doesn’t approve of anime, saying it’s full of satanic messages… but Mom is a little less uptight and she convinced him to let me out since she wants me to make friends.”
“Oh… what’s satanic about this swimsuit? It’s like the most proper and modest…” Leona started, but was interrupted by someone behind.
“Oh crap! A japanese swimsuit! That’s awesome!” A guy standing behind them exclaimed. Leona blinked and blushed furiously as he continued, “I haven’t seen one in the wild before, can I take pictures of you?”
“This isn’t an anime convention.” His friend laughed. “But that’s still not a bad idea. Why don’t we hook up after this ride and get a bite at the stands? I’m kinda in the mood to head to the Lazy River section after, wanna come?”
“Ahhhh wimp! We’re going on this like four or five more times. If you don’t go on the big slides, it’s a waste of money!” The first guy exclaimed. “Nice idea though. These girls are really…” He was eyeing Sarah in particular with her white swimsuit covered in kitties.
Leona fidgeted uncomfortably. This was the first time in a while this kind of thing had happened. Ever since her transition, when she was brave enough to go into the world, some creepy guy or other would whistle at or try to hit on her. Even though she’d coped before, Leona found herself scanning her brain for Goonie and Quinn’s advice but her mind blanked.
“These girls are underaged so keep it in your pants, buster. No, just stay away.” Quinn stepped forward from where she’d been watching nearby and butted in, popping her knuckles. “Bottom line, don’t mess with my little sisters, would ya kindly?” She said darkly to the two guys who just grinned back at her; the two more interested in her bikini and her fit, tight body than feeling any kind of intimidation.
“The more, the merrier. There’s no harm in having a snack. It’s my treat. I’m loaded.” The first guy with blonde hair said with a beaming smile.
“That’s nice and all, but I’m good,” Sarah stated.
Quinn nodded and spoke with a sarcastic tone, “It is kind of you to offer, but we’ll be on our way. Our schedule today doesn’t involve you two.”
“HEY!” The second guy glared. “That’s rude. What about you? You’re kinda quiet.” He eyed Leona with a smile.
“Don’t TOUCH MY LITTLE SISTER.” Quinn snarled. “Fuck off.” The boys glared at Quinn but remained quiet, once in a while exchanging glances. Quinn took Leona and Sarah by the arm and pulled them closer to the back of the queue.
“Can we stand here? We were up there. It’s not gonna change anything.” Quinn asked.
The woman and the man acquiesced with gentle smiles on their faces. Their children also grinned gleefully, caught up in their anticipation of the fun they’d have when they went down this super long and twisty slide.
When it became their turn, the girls all started climbing the platform until they reached the top. After reaching the top after a long and hot trek, a strange sight greeted them. The blonde guy was standing in for one of the workers who usually stood under the canopy and kept the lines moving. Quinn seared him with a glare as he watched someone sit and start their way down and she looked into the eyes of Sarah and Leona as she spoke softly, “You two go first. Anyway, we’re not coming back to this slide if they’re still here.”
The blonde guy smiled disarmingly while his friend waited by the slide.
Leona glared at the guys, wondering what they were up to. “Just go, quickly. Jump in,” Quinn murmured.
The two hesitated but Leona nodded and dove feet first, holding Sarah’s hand. She eeped as they started the descent. Leona was glad she could change places with Sarah because her legs weren’t wrapped around her this time. She was always worried she’d get an erection if she bumped into her. Suddenly she felt Sarah’s own legs wrap around her, squeezing firmly while she whooped. Her gaff strained to hide the reaction when Sarah pressed her modest B cups against her back. Leona cursed herself for thinking going first would be easier.
Meanwhile Quinn stood with arms crossed. “What are you up to?”
“Nothing. The guard on duty is a friend of mine. I’m not in the mood for food anymore so I gave him a bit of money to get himself a nice cold drink.”
Quinn’s eyes narrowed further. His friend remained silent, admiring the skyline across the bay. “Fine… I just don’t want to see either of you stalking us today.” Quinn made for the slide so she wouldn’t lose track of the girls. As she neared the drop, the guy’s quiet friend suddenly rushed up behind her and seized her legs, causing her to fall face first down the slide.
“Have fun on your way down!” The blonde grinned gleefully, waving as his friend shoved Quinn down.
Leona covered herself as they rushed down the slide while Sarah whooped and screamed joyfully. All too soon the ride ended and they made a mighty splash. All her friend’s rubbing against her made her boy bit slip out of its restraints. Worried, she resurfaced even as the laughing Sarah came up as well. If Sarah discovered her secret right here and now... if she hugged her and if something had happened to Quinn... She didn’t like the look in that blonde’s eyes. She knew he was up to something, but didn’t know what.
Leona waded over and tried to get herself under control. “Are you okay?” Sarah asked as she followed her away from the slide’s mouth. Too much fidgeting with her crotch would be extremely suspicious.
Sarah turned Leona and looked into her eyes. “Are you worried about Quinn? I think she was blowing that out of proportion… they seemed kind of nice, right?”
“Don’t be naive. They probably wanted to take us somewhere else,” Leona snapped.
“What?” Sarah gaped. “We’re just fifteen. Why would anybody want to do that?” Sarah asked. “I’m sure they just wanted to make sure we were having a good time. If his friend works here, it’s probably…”
A distraught cry came from the exit of the waterslide. Then, the next person in line hit the water. Hard. Leona was facing the slide when she saw Quinn’s olive-green hair just before she hit the water headfirst. Going face-first was kind of her sister’s style… it was risky and she always was a thrill seeker, but in a split second she saw something else; she had a bloody nose.
“Hang on a second!” Leona yelped and dove, swimming as hard as she could towards Quinn. Something was wrong. Quinn wasn’t moving, just floating with her head face-down in the water. Leona wrapped her arms around Quinn and quickly pulled her to the side of the wading pool. Sarah gasped and rushed to help.
“Is she okay!?” asked a lifeguard who had just rushed over. Leona shook her head. The man reached down, kneeling and helped the two girls pull Quinn out. Once Quinn was out, he checked her and immediately started performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Quinn’s face was blue and blood was leaking from her nostrils.
Leona started crying and Sarah soon followed suit.
After a moment, Quinn spluttered and spat out water and blood.
“Quinn!” Leona yelled.
Ultra ultra super cute in fact.-> Ultra, ultra, super cute
in time Sarah to have some-> maybe “in time for Sarah to have some”?
really really really awkward-> really, really, really awkward. Maybe italics for the last really?
Leona glared at the guys men-> not sure what this is supposed to be. Maybe “Leona glared at the two guys”?
What freaking pricks, does the rich guy think his money can buy him and his friend out of that assault charge they’ll be getting from pushing Quinn face down a huge water slide?
Yush, I bet so! *nods nods nods*
Many guy don't like when girls said "no" and "wound" their oh so precious pride. You know, the "real manly guy" who thing woman are under them, and if a girl is raped it's because the skirt was too short and she "deseverd it" in some way. Or think a women need to "be remaind her place" when she dare to talk back, or strike back against a man. The same who thnk a "real woman" can only be happy with the d1ck of a man inside her ...
Sadly, many, many people thing like that. Even if it's just a little, somewhere in the murky and dark part of our mind. Sometime i find myself (with disgust after) think bad like that : the whole world scream us to think like that after all ... just look to the "the great CEO husbanb" blablabla from Chinese or Corean novel ? The many, ho so many po*n with heroine or powerfull woman "make real woman" after be d1cked and all this sh1t. It's everywhere around us, all the time The exemple i have used are only the more glaring and heavily on that, this is all.
@Ombre37 *nods* Nya!
Ahhhhh, possible spinal injuries! Also, those guys are assholes, and I hate that their behavior is still *a thing*.
Yeah, for sure. The world's full of all types.
. As she neared the drop, the guy’s quiet friend suddenly rushed up behind her and seized her legs, causing her to fall face first down the slide.
I know is already rewritten but maybe you should editing some punishment for them. It is attempting murder after all
Sadly sometimes people get away with outrageous things >.> It'd be funny if Aurora ran into the guy somewhere. *purrs*
Maybe you could make it happen ;) maybe with help of some black fearthers angel ;)
I do like you writeing and this re read is so good as reading the story for the first time. But I still don't like bullying^^
Is that normal in USA to wear bathing suit under clothes when going to waterpark? Also judging by last chapter they don't shower before going to pool area?
It sure is! Very much common! It saves a great deal of trouble. Since most fit well under clothing, why not?
grrrrrr
Thanks for the chapter... though the tension is quite well developed
*purrs* Thank you! <3 Unite?
@Rellawing I don’t know what you’re talking about... damn auto correct...
@Raleon KILL THE AUTOCORRECT! My eternal NEMESIS! Nya!
This is going to be somewhat... pointed of me but I'm sick of this stupid stereotype a lot of novels seem to be doing. A lot of novels not just these but Japanese novels too paint religion as a purely bad thing. Now I'll be the first to admit religion isn't faultless but so is anything else. I would be more understanding of stuff like this if it was an integral part of the story but it isn't, this is purely your personal bias at play. I like reading a variety of novels to get an understanding of a lot of things so stereotypes like this really stick out to me. I just want to see more nuance in a story other than "religion bad". In fact, the way you treat religion is kind of hypocritical considering what you are defending if it was the other way around you would be called a homophobe and have every insult imaginable thrown at you.
Here's an example.
"I'm a Christian and all I do is call people devil worshippers and look down on others who don't do exactly as I do. Oh and I'm incredibly bit*hy all the time"
"I'm transgender and my beliefs on my gender are totally invalid and I'm mentally ill."
You may not like it but these sentences are equivalent.
Oh no worries. Everyone is capable of making mistakes based on their ethics and beliefs. They hurt each other and reject one another simply based on that kind of a basis. We're just not in a world where everyone coexists and gets along. It's a sad thing that happens sometimes. I hope it doesn't bother you that I'm touching on things like that in this piece. I know well that religious people are great people. A very religious and wonderful friend of mine gave me a great deal of money in a moment of desperation when everything was going to pieces. <3 You're going to see evil coming from many types of characters, not just these types. *hugs*
