So... Uh... Hi? (This is awkward) Anyways, life happened, and I kinda stopped updating. Never even posted my full backlog, actually. Now that I'm back, expect about 10 chaps in short order at least, then we'll see from there. I'm gonna edit all previous chapters too, and might change a few minutiae

Edit: Changed Bloodblade to Bloodhart and fixed the droves of typos that had plagued previous chapters, but not much else.

I lay there on my bed for a while, panting, as the haze of lust that had clouded mind slowly cleared.

'...Shit, so this is... the power of maid outfits, huh?'

Of course, I still had enough brain energy to squeeze out a shitty joke. It wouldn't be me, otherwise.

Only after several more minutes had pass did I start forming coherent thoughts that made actual sense.

'That was... too good. To the point it was dangerous.'

I rolled over on the bed, finally giving Aina room to breathe properly. She was so deeply asleep she barely noticed. I immediately felt the acute lack of her soft, warm skin on mine, but I chastised myself as I banished those stray thoughts from my mind.

'No. I already overtaxed her, she deserves some rest.'

I looked over at her, my senses were still overwhelming me, and couldn't help taking in all the details on her body and face that I had never paid attention to before. But, I didn't last long before I started feeling overwhelmed again by my improved senses, which made me desperately try to look for a way to tune them down.

After what felt like an eternity, I finally found a small... thingy, inside my mind. I only knew that it definitely wasn't there before, this strange switch. Although perhaps 'valve' would be a better metaphor, since it seemed to have more options that just 'on' or 'off'.

For now, though, I just tugged at it, and to my pleasant surprise, my senses quickly receded, now only slightly more acute than before this whole ordeal.

I finally let my body relax, and let the delayed afterglow set in. That had felt amazing, and I had barely been moving at all when it happened. I couldn't help but wonder how it would feel to pump into Aina with all my strength while my senses were empowered like that...

Reeling my dark desires in, I looked at the collapsed Aina next to me. She looked to be sleeping peacefully. I couldn't help but wonder, had she undergone the same change too? I couldn't pinpoint why, but somehow, I felt like the answer to my question was yes. Maybe it had something to do with how I felt the two of us becoming closer than ever before, on a spiritual level? Something weirdly mystical had definitely happened back there, I knew that much.

'Yeah, you pounded her like there was no tomorrow before filling her up like a cummy water ballon. very mystical, you asshat.'

I sighed in self-deprecation.

'Anyways, staying like this forever isn't gonna do me any good. Time to see whether these overwhelming senses are a power-up or a nerf.'

I grunted, and eventually got up slowly. I knew pondering by myself wouldn't get me anywhere, and I sure as hell wasn't going to wake Aina up now. It was still early afternoon, so she should probably be up by evening. We would have plenty of time to discuss what happened then.

Instead, I went out to the yard to train. I wanted to pinpoint the changes that had taken place inside me, and how they would affect me in a battle.

I turned the mental 'valve' about a third of the way, picked up my sword, and from the very first swing, I could already feel the difference. I had purposely sealed off the full extent of my senses to prevent my mind from going into overload, but the difference was still remarkable.

I could clearly feel my grip on the hilt of my sword, and I felt, more clearly than ever, the points in my arms where the weight of the blade caused the most pressure.

And I also felt how it became much more bearable with some simple shifts in stance. This alone meant I could improve my swordsmanship style a step further, to make it more efficient and less taxing on my body.

As I slowly turned my senses up further, I could clearly hear the crisp sounds of my blade slashing through the air, which gave me a better idea of which swings were more powerful than others.

And finally, although I had no way to test this, I felt like, in a real fight, I would have a much better grasp on my opponent due to my improved dynamic vision and more precise hearing.

I was pumped up, honestly. I tried to train to get my emotions to calm down, but even after an hour my mind was still racing.

Eventually, I decided to go out into the forest to test my skills in an actual fight with beasts. I didn't feel good about leaving Aina alone at the mansion, but she probably would still be asleep by the time I came back, and even if she woke up, I had left a note telling her when I would be back and to not leave my room. I had learned my lesson from last time.

Putting on my armor and slinging on my adventuring bag, I ran off into the forest, not even bothering to pick a mission from the adventurers' guild.
