"Ughh"
Julian groggily awakens as he stares at an unfamiliar ceiling with a chandelier hanging from it. Looking around the room he was in revealed a luxurious room with exquisite reliefs on the walls. He himself was laying in a luxurious bed that most definitely belonged to a noble. Where am I…
Knock, knock
His line of thoughts was cut short by a knock on the door, startling him slightly.
"Please come in."
Uh? Was my voice always this high? Perplexed by his own high-pitched voice, he answered the knocking out of habit. But it was quite possible that the person outside was the one who saved him from Loriam’s clutches, and so he got ready to thank his savior properly.
"G-Good morning, I h-hope that I did not interrupt your rest."
Contrary to Julian’s expectations, a tall, young-looking blonde-haired girl with light pink eyes dressed in a typical maid outfit entered the room. Her nervousness was audible in her voice as she bowed deeply once she spotted Julian sitting on the bed.
"No, I was already awake, so don’t worry about it. Oh, that reminds me, where is your master? I believe that I have something to talk about with them."
The maid shook for some reason as she carefully looked up at Julian.
"We-well, my master is you, your highness."
As she answered, she was completely nervous as if she would be killed for it at any moment. She quickly lowered her head to the floor. For a brief moment, slightly pointy ears peeked through her hair. A pointy ears? A half-elf, perhaps? Also, what is with this ‘your highness’ business?
"What do you mean by ‘your highness’? I think you got the wrong- "
Wrong person. Or so Julian wanted to say before his attention was taken by a strand of silver hair on his shoulder when he noticed a body-length mirror nearby. Without wasting a single second, Julian scrambled towards it.
"No, no way... What’s the meaning of this!?"
The mirror was showing a reflection of a confused beautiful girl with slightly pointed ears. She seemed no older than 12. Her eyes were blood red and shone like precious gems. Her long hair was silver in color with a slight shade of blonde in it. She was also dressed in a white nightgown that came up to her knees. Julian was shocked when the girl in the mirror repeated his every action. There is no way that that girl is me, right? I am a guy, after all, and a human. There is no way for her to be me. This has to be some kind of trick.
"Are you admiring yourself as the first thing after waking up?"
That voice! When Julian turned around, in the doorway stood Loriam, with a smile on her face. The blonde maid was visibly shaking as she was bowing toward her.
"G-good morning, your majesty."
"Mirei, leave us alone."
"As you wish."
The maid, named Mirei, had left the room more than happily. Hey, if you are supposed to be my maid, then get back here and save me! Julian slightly panicked as he was left alone with the demon in the form of a little girl named Loriam.
"Do you like the way you look?"
"So, this is your doing then."
Julian was throwing daggers at Loriam with his eyes, she on the other hand was just smiling back at him.
"Oh, come on now, is that how you should look at your mother? You’re rather rebellious, aren’t you, Julia."
"What are you talking about? What mother and who the fuck is Julia?!"
Julian was getting pissed off by Loriam. Just who does she think she is?
"You are Julia, silly, isn’t it obvious?"
Loriam kept smiling at Julian as she talked, completely ignoring Julian’s dumbfounded expression.
"Why? Why did you turn me into a girl?!"
Julian clenched his fists as he tried to suppress his rage toward Loriam, who was still smiling right in front of him.
"Don’t worry your pretty head about silly things. You are my daughter and that is all that matters, Julia."
Daughter? Did she just call me her daughter!? Julian was enraged by her words, but before he could say anything, Loriam approached and hugged him tightly. Julian’s anger took over, and he pushed Loriam away.
"Take your dirty hands from me, you vampiric bitch!"
Loriam looked surprised and a little hurt by Julian’s words. But she didn’t react in any other way, just showed a self-mocking smile as she mumbled.
"What did I expect… after all of that?"
Loriam didn’t say another word as she turned towards the door and started to walk out of the room. But she stopped right before the door and turned her head towards a still angry Julian.
"I almost forgot, but I kept my promise. All of those guys are safe. I hope you will keep yours."
After she said all that, she wanted. She opened the door and left the room, leaving dumfounded Julian alone. The blonde maid peaked into the room briefly after Loriam left, but when she saw Julian’s expression, she bowed and closed the door without a single word.
Julian sighed exhaustedly as he calmed down a little. After which he explored the room in more detail to search for a way to turn back. But his only find was an empty closet and a luxurious couch with an expensive-looking coffee table.
Right opposite the bed was a sturdy wooden desk with a cushioned chair. On top of the desk lay a few books, but Julian was unable to translate their titles from vampiric.
Out of curiosity, Julian approached the big window opposite the door and peaked out. The view that he saw took his breath away, outside of the window that seemed to be on the second floor. Spread beautiful garden, Julian had never seen a garden like this one, not even in an elven royal palace. Just behind a wall that separated this place from the outside world, a big city was visible, a city whose architecture Julian hadn’t seen before.
Julian was enjoying this view, forgetting about his predicament. His view of the garden was stained by the vampire soldiers patrolling through it. Sure, the garden wasn’t empty; there were gardeners, most likely vampires, but unlike the soldiers, he had no reason to hate those guys, so he politely ignored them.
What he couldn’t ignore, however, was the familiar figure of a silver-haired girl accompanied by a maid with short black hair. They were walking on a paved path towards a luxurious, palace-like building on the other side of the garden. For some reason, he felt sad looking at her like this.
Loriam stopped briefly at the fountain and looked at the window where Julian stood. She smiled and gracefully waved at Julian before continuing toward her destination with the maid in tow.
"Seriously, why am I worried about her?"
Julian shook his head and decided to lie down to process everything that happened to him today and how will he get back to his life.
…
In the halls of the royal palace of the vampires, a black-haired maid accompanied her mistress, the 23rd queen of vampires, Loriam Kaane Leranpe herself. As the two entered the queen’s palace from the garden, the maid spoke out.
"I was under the impression that the reunion between your majesty and her highness didn’t go too well. But you seem somewhat cheery. Was I perhaps mistaken?"
It came as a surprise when she heard that the queen had returned back to the capital with an unconscious daughter. And now, after three days of rest, her highness woke up. It stood to reason that she herself was overjoyed at the premise of a warm reunion of mother and daughter, but instead, she overheard yelling and cursing. Her mistress left her daughter's room looking rather sad, but now? There was no trace of it anywhere.
"It didn’t go as well as I would have liked, but I am pretty sure that she is just in her rebellious phase. Didn’t you notice? She was looking at us from her window. She looked like she regretted saying those things to me."
Her majesty said this without a single bit of worry about her relationship with her daughter. Seeing how the queen was confident in getting their relationship on the right path, the maid decided to ask about other things.
"I am also curious why you decided to make Mirei her highness’s personal maid instead of somebody with more experiences?"
It was an understandable question that anyone who worked in the palace would ask. After all, Mirei was a half-vampire from the borderlands, an illegitimate daughter of a minor noble. She also worked in the palace for barely a few months, and yet she became a maid to the crown princess.
"It is rather simple. She is the only one of all of you here that can speak human language."
"Is it true then? That her highness can’t speak the language of her homeland?"
The maid clenched her fist, angry toward those that caused this to happen. The queen ignored her maid’s reaction and simply continued.
"She will learn it soon enough. I will help her with it. Say, Liora, could you go and make me a cup of tea? I am getting thirsty."
"As you wish, your majesty."
The maid, Liora, bowed and went to fulfill her mistress’s order. Loriam sat herself down on her throne and hummed happily. You will soon accept who you are, my sweet little Julia.
you know i cannot pity someone that literally destroyed kingdoms killed it's own husband and then forcefully transform it's own son against it's will for a selfish reason
You don't know the reason yet. Remember, we only have been seeing things through the eyes of the humans, not the vampires.
@Western42 agree. People are bias so yeah
@Western42 I'ven them massacring a entire population to search one person no matter how good the intention dosent justfy i understand her view point but i will not pity someone that choose genocide it's simple as that you think i being hateful i just being apathetic also i don't pity people that transform people against they're will as they always deseve payback
@yokai1235 well I mean it may not be so much transformed against their will as, had a curse broken or something similiar. From context they were basically baby-napped and hidden away for some reason. As for the war that's a potentially harsh judgement for something we haven't been given much info on. It could very well be that there is a lot of stuff going on that we just have been seen/ been told in only.... 4 chapters. Plus it's a work of fiction not real life so you need to/ should give a little bit of leeway for drama.
@ElymMoon it's definitely not a curse being broken but definitely the opposite as the Quinn is a vampire humans cursed into blood sucking monsters so in a sense the child would be born cursed to be vimpire the father probably found a way to cure the curse or the the child was a dapmir but hide the baby because he knew if the queen knew she would curse the baby into being a vampire we have proof that it wasn't kidnapping as it's stated that the king the mc biological father hide the baby from the Quinn
@yokai1235 What are you talking about? First off, we still don't know much about the vampires of this world nor their society, and what curse? Also, why are you spelling Queen as Quinn? That's not even a typo at this point.
@yokai1235 we literally have had nothing said about the MC's father at this point besides what some random one off humans thought they had heard. ALSO even if the father was human he still would of LITERALLY kidnapped the child, that's how kidnapping works. Second there is proof that vampires aren't an all female race in this world (like how some GB vampire novels work), and it doesn't seem like the MC is meant to be trans so why would them going from human to vampire turn them into a woman, besides the fact that they clearly already were a woman and had been raised as a man (hence my conclusion of being curse or illusion). Honestly I'm being to think you're just a troll because there is no way you can honestly believe what your arguing.
@Western42 my auto correct rewrite as Quinn
@ElymMoon so for you divorce is also kidnapping as you don't have proof that was a kidnapping
second have you read any vampire novel? if so you should know how embrace works and how some novels treat as modifiening genetic code also if the father is human the mother is vampire means tha the mother genes are vampire if so them the fact that the mc was human means that he was cured from vampirism if he was on illusion the side effects of vampirism aka the need of blood and the weakness of the sun would show up and so it's not illusion and it's not a curse as dosent make sense to make a curse that would be dispelled after being embraced by a vampire but i forgot you don't know how to read
just forgot to mention never passed your head the motive the king hide mc was because he wanted to protect the heir of the human kingdom after all what human would want a vampire being their ruler and what vimpire would like to have a hapf breed as ruler
second addendum @ElymMoon you're assuming the character is trans i assumed the main character is male from the start is forced to be girl against his will
@yokai1235 first off yes if someone divorces and then flees with a shared child that is in fact VERY MUCH kidnapping.
Also I've read many vampire books, and if you had as well you know that they don't have to share a single origin (virus, natural born species, sci fi creation, parasites, magic) not all of them can creates new vampires, not all against the users will and some can. So why why would that one specific type of vampirism matter because the author has never used any terms that should lead you to believe it is? I can give you a variety of novels on this site alone if you want where vampires DON'T work like that. IF (AND A BIG IF) the father was a human king, why would he of had a child with a vampire if he hated them so much. In addition according to chapter 1 vampires in fact GOT ALONG with other races until 25 years ago (partly why I called you a troll, it doesn't seem like you even read any chapters before this one).
Finally, no, I specifically said I DO NOT think the MC is trans. So maybe before accusing people of not being able to reading or not knowing things maybe you should actually go back and read what they said. What I said is that there is no reason outside of specific GB vampire novels does vampirism just turn people into women.
So yes you are a troll and unless you can actually give a solid reason why you believe this world works the way you think it does with some sort of evidence or quote from the novel I'm done arguing with you. I double checked my facts before posting. I can back up my speculation with quotes that explain how I got my ideas, and am willing to do so, can you?
@ElymMoon stop trolling you piece of shit
@yokai1235 Honestly, at this point I think your just doing this just for the sake of it. So far, you haven't proved anything you have said nor found a way to debunk our points so, unless you have proof, please don't reply.
@Western42 pls... Just drop this convo guys! Just continue reading if you want. If you don't, just stop reading and move on
@Western42 i already put my point 3 times but you guys don't care i come to this site to read stories not to make entire tread that looks like a political debate of people assuming what the author is reading if you want to keep debating go to a forum not a comment section
I found the youtube comment thread in scribblehub
@yokai1235 All, I will say is have you read Classroom of the Elite? If so you will know that the main character is an unreliable narrator. And it could be the same just the mc also not aware of what really is going on. We know only a bit, plus she said of course it should have been obvious with the name Julian. Means the queen knew about the mc just not by that name and form/race/image
@Rezkin_kdt why should i follow other novel that's completely unrelated as example as how all narrator works yes know narrators are unreliable still doesn't change the fact the main character life was destroyed by a selfish person that second prior has humiliated said protagonist i will not pity this selfish person that is what my entire comment was about how many times do i have to keep saying the same thing and people still refuse to see what i mean
@yokai1235 But I am not saying she is selfish or not, she could be a Saint or a devil. All I am saying is that we don't have all the facts. It's like saying all humans are evil when you witness 1 person litter one time. All I am saying is you are jumping to conclusions with insufficient facts. You could be right, you could also be wrong. We don't know
@Rezkin_kdt just leave the troll alone, he either is arguing against everyone who responded for a reaction or has his own head so far up his butt he won't listen to anyone else. He literally will only acknowledge things that benefit him and everything else "doesn't matter, or have anything to do with it"
@yokai1235 Also, to the novel point, if you are going to say that, why compare any novel with another then? Since all are different, even poor copies? Why compare them they are two different worlds and two different stories. Plus I was using 1 point of a story that is quite famous for that point. If you want a comparison, let's use harry potter what is it known for, magic, so if I made a comment on a wizard and used harry potter as a comparison it would make sense even if the two stories are very different. Since I am just pointing out a similarity with a widely know source. Sure I could have used better novels but would you know them? So I used a novel that somewhat decently matched that you would likely know
@ElymMoon Welp I tried, that's all that matters to me. Idr care if they take my advice or not. Just trying to help, but I know you can't help everyone. Especially becoming more open minded
@Rezkin_kdt i said completely unrelated you can compare novels if they have some relation to serve as example as it's worthless to compare apples to oranges and is awful that you're literally assuming the writer of this novel is imitating the classroom of the elite writer and you're attacking me at this point i just give keep assuming whatever you want is Worthless to argue with someone that refuse to read
@yokai1235 ? When did I say copy? If I am doing what you say we should remove all books with magic since they copied harry potter, also harry potter since it copies the lord of the rings. Also, fine if you don't want to use a classroom of the elite, then what about the New Sun, a fantasy-type world with an unreliable narrator. Happy, cause I will be honest I find this hilarious how you can't seem to grasp something so simple! Sure this last statement is not doing me any favors, but man if I want a laugh over hypocrisy you and the news seem to share the same source!
@Rezkin_kdt You know, to be fair this could be a point of view problem but it doesn't change the matter of the argument. If you want an example how about Worm
@Rezkin_kdt Like actually please stop arguing if your thoughts aren’t going to these people, that’s basically trolling at this point. You know, if the novel frustrates you, like it does for me, from the MC’s view, because he was in a war against vampires and was forcibly transformed against his will, but there could be a much bigger thing that was going on before the war like humans trying to take over Vampires land, etc etc. We don’t know the whole story and I don’t think we should compare this story with others because I don’t think this author will do cliche things now stop arguing because I hate getting notifications
@Aureoled I really regret replying on this discussion
@Aureoled OK, I will stop
Sorry, to necro the argument, but for posterity, who said that humans did not forcibly transform their princess? With some mind wipe by the way?
@Quesa Please don't get this started again.
