Synopsis

Anthony Saunders died an orphan, alone and miserable because of a pandemic disease, and was transported to another world as a farmer’s son named Anton. The surprising thing was there was a tattoo of his favorite game Diablo II on his wrists. He was able to enter the game even virtually and all spells and stats of equipped items will reflect in the real world but unfortunately, he can’t take items from the game to the real world. He could use the inventory though!
The best part was his Diablo II icon had an internet browser that allowed him to surf the internet from his previous world, but he couldn’t communicate with anyone, just search, read, and watch using the browser, but it saved Anthony from the greatest affliction of all, Boredom!
With all the information from his previous world at his fingertips, he should become rich right? Well…

I haven't read much, so far I'm liking the story and the MC's personality is not annoying, I just hope it's not the typical story of a nobleman X is interested in MC or sister and the MC ends up fighting to save himself and along the way father dies. Hopefully it will be a story of travel and discovery rather than war and tragedy.

thanks for sharing the story :)

By the way, I'm not an English speaker and at the moment Google-chan translates everything and it doesn't give me any problems reading. I don't know about native speakers but at least the grammar hasn't caused me any problems.

Second review, although the story is slow and I hope that in the future it will have a better pace of travel, it is well written and explained. Currently we do not know the power level of the world so there is not much to compare it with so although the MC is "strong from the beginning" he has a consistent line of growth, which justifies his strength, that is, he uses his system, He levels up and then trains the powers he acquired, so he's not strong because crap.

If there is something I could add, it is that I hope he does not have a growth limit, in the game the upper limit is understandable. But in the global scheme I think it is not.

I sincerely like it and it is one of the few series that I follow when its chapters premiere.

thank you very much author and keep it up

I was able to almost make it to 100 chapters to help give y’all a better review.  The overall concept is ok and the broad look at the plot is decent. The issue comes when you start to look deeper. The characters seem very 1 dimensional and no where close to people. The MC and the little sister are terribly presented.  The emotions are very forced if any are written about. The system needs to be broken down and defined more especially with the MCs growth. As a clue for the system side, if you are killing Diablo on nightmare, then bring those skills/abilities to real life, nothing is stopping you... that is a hint at the strength there. Little details seem very forced and side characters are presented as unintelligent to put it mildly. Grammer and spelling are understandable, not perfect but good enough.  Some comments are repeated to much especially within conversations, with the same characters or internal monologue. I have no idea why but they are... Overall a good concept but needs some more deeper planning done with characters, plot, and the system. Another hint, the system should give the MC whatever there hearts want, it’s not a system if it does. For the author, keep writing so you can keep improving!

As one reader commented in a chapter, this is a junk-food novel. I'll get back to why in a bit. As several reviewers have implied, the premise of the story is rather good. It reminds me of the Chinese webnovel "Hail the King"; MC transmigrates into another world with access to virtually play Diablo II and is able to be empowered through playing the game. An invading threat leads to the MC and his new family to (constantly) flee while "focusing" on powering up. The complaints of the detractors of the story seem to revolve around the system implementation (

      Spoiler

It's not thoroughly explained, even through context clues. First, it seems like a simple power system: create character, then level, gear and skill effects are reflected in MC's reality. Creating more characters expands MC's skill repertoire, with highest stats only reflected in reality. Web access is given as MC's crutch because he's not one of those genius transmigrators that always know the right path to min-max. But then seemingly unrelated things pop out, like his supposedly closed system allowing for video uploads to his previous reality. Also, the seemingly random relaxing of system "rules".

      [collapse]
), the aforementioned chase by the threat (
      Spoiler

It's not really properly explained why the undead armies seemingly are always appearing right behind, and sometimes even ahead of the fleeing party. Contextual extrapolation can imply that the invasion is widespread throughout the continent and the various undead contingents are continuing to grow, thus making undead armies (and navies) appear along the MC's path. What most readers will get though is that the threat is supposed to be behind the MC, since their party fled far and fast, by normal standards.

      [collapse]
      ), the "focusing" (
      Spoiler

Or lack thereof. MC is aware of the constantly approaching threat and has the ability to grow powerful to overcome, yet continually goes after diversions to thwart "burnout". It's a reasonable action when the enemy isn't at your heels, but it comes off as a tone-deaf choice during moments when the threat is close. The MC himself acknowledges this several times, and yet still continues to do so. The first couple of times that it happens may be excusable, but that it continually happens shows a lack of character growth on the MC's part.

      [collapse]
      ), the "fact" repetition (
      Spoiler

The reader will constantly be reminded of the benefits of magic water, or of why the animals are close to the MC,   or other similar factoids that were explained in the beginning. Such things being mentioned once or twice, then just alluded to are fine. The way it's done in this story feels too much like padding, as the exposition is ever-present whenever the facts comes up in the story.

      [collapse]
), and surprisingly or unsurprisingly, slice-of-life moments (
      Spoiler

I like seeing the MC's abilities being used for out-of-combat purposes and being exploited to grow a potential merchant empire. However, some readers dislike reading those moments or having those events focused on in a supposedly action-packed OP MC novel (despite it being in the tags, even).

      [collapse]
). Those complaints do warrant a 3-star rating, I think. I give it 4-stars because I have gone all the way to the MTL wasteland before to look for interesting stories and this tickles my fancy (and MTL has probably enured me to some things that other readers find problematic). I am also a fan of Diablo II and love stories that involve the game. I enjoyed it so much that I binged this novel after I opened it, despite the implied lack of depth (junk-food!).

First of all, the premise is alright and the broad strokes of the plot line can be used fairly interesting. That's pretty much the only positive aspect to the story. The actual writing feels god awfully manufactured with characters being powered by AI chatbots. I have seen worse dialogue flows from translations of web novels, not to mention that half of one chapter is almost copy pasted into the next one quite heavily during low action sequences, there's plenty of those. Honestly if I were to guess, I would say that it's nowhere close to being written with any emotion or passion.
