Benjamin is your standard guy, average grades, loyal friends, and a family who loves him. Yet, something is missing. He drifts through life, detached, haunted by a sense of wrongness he can’t explain. When a mysterious full-dive game, Astralyth Online, enters his life, everything changes. As Benjamin steps into a world beyond his own, the lines between game and reality blur. A glitch, a dream, a woman trapped in glass—Benjamin is pulled into something far darker and complicated than he imagined. What he thought was an escape will change him—body, mind, and soul—in ways he never saw coming.
So, I'll edit this review as I continue reading and keep everyone updated.
As of Chapter 8, I have nothing but praise for this.
This writer is every bit as good as any of the professional names in fiction these days, whether it's Stephen King or Anne Rice. Grammar and syntax are professional in terms of their presentation. It seems to have been beta-read and proof read to a high standard, because I did not find any errors or mistakes in the first eight chapters.
She definitely tends to write in a more long winded fashion, with paragraphs accounting for 90 to 95% of the structure of the prose, but its not repetitive or info-dumpy. Also, she always shows, rather than tells. So it translates into a positive experience for the reader. You are going to have to read for a bit to get to the good parts, no doubt; but it'll be worth it so just enjoy it. Think of it as the prologue.
The good news about that is that every chapter is good. They are all worth it. And while you DO have to read through at least 20, 000 or so words to get to the first hook (part of the story that gets you really interested/comitted), you will still enjoy reading the early chapters.
So get some popcorn and set aside a couple hours to give this a read. You won't be sorry. And if you are, then you just aren't as cool as the rest of us. Sorry, but maybe this club isn't for you. Lollllll.

Alright time for the review
First things first I came into this after finishing the first chapter with rather low expectations since a lot of the story focused seemed very bland at first and honestly if it weren't for me talking to the author herself and looking at the fact there might be a bit more action in the future I would have very much dropped it.
However I will say the author definently made improvement and while the story does get bland at times it is at the bare minimum enjoyable enogth to warrant what I am going to say next.
First of all before thinking of dropping the story read until chapter 20 as that will give you a pretty much full picture of what kind of story you will be reading. This is also where my mind and thoughts shifted from this is bland and kinda annoying with how the main character is acting to ok this is worth it enough to give it an shot at reading
There are alot of things I wish to criticize on which are of the following
One the main character themselves. First the story is largely centered around charecter development. While yes there are a lot of other over arching plot points the background. Most of the time I have been reading this story it's been almost always this and that relates to Madelyns growth and the families support. The problem here is that while the emotions and stuff change the weakness does not, in fact during one of the later chapters I might say gotten worse where the main charecter grew weaker instead of stronger. All of the time I wish I wanted to root for the character however along with any expectations I had of them to actually step up for themselves it just seems to just be shot down all of the time. There is. Very little in terms of solid growth timeline for the character and no matter how I see or am told that the character is getting stronger I simply do not see it as the case.
Following along with that is how the story is plotted based on the charecter development side of things. Yes charecter development as been nice however this has ran on for so long that it has actually made the plot that was rather interesting to me feel more and more dull overtime. It's pretty much slice of life fantesy at the beginning everywhere and that is to be the case for the vast majority of the chapters up to 70.
While not totally a critisem I just want to point out some story point to the author as of chapter 72 is that conflict wise this has been pretty much as barren as it gets for it's been almost the same conflict for the past entirety of the initial chapters up to chapter 72. The only difference is how the conflict relate to the Plot and even then it's kinda repetitive for how similar they are to what you would expect.
Everything else I have to say downside about the story is mainly the smaller details so I will be leaving then out of this review and now let's go on for why I gave this story an 4 out of 5 instead of an 3/5
First of all even though it seems like being 4 out of 5 is pretty good the story itself pretty much ranks on. The bottom of the 4 out of 5 ratings.
The main reasoning for it not being down to just a 3 rating is the plot itself. The plot itself hold alot of room for growth and potential and while the character development at the beginning and getting th charecters a chance to prove themselves and really show their progress even if it's only the main character would drastically improve the story quality overall.
In truth the only reason for why the rating is as is is due to the potential of how the story can develop and if done well could rapidly improve the story quality
In any case the story itself is a good past time story if you wish to just relax your mind and read something simple and semi realistically tailered progression of plot.

After reading through all of what has been released as of review date. I've got to say, this is one of my favorite stories I've read up to this point.
The writer is very skilled at writing fiction, and I find the writing style very easy to get hooked on, and I ended up binge reading everything in a short amount of time.
The only small problem I found, was one chapter, where the incorrect word for a baby fox was used. However, this was changed in the next chapter where a baby fox was written about. All of the emotion, and feelings that the main character goes through, feel very well written and very like like.
I very much look forwards to any following chapters that the author writes.
I'm not really great at writing reviews, and don't do it much, but with a story I enjoy this much, I feel like I needed to. Thank you for reading.
