When the young vampire, Verena Tavanor, discovers her class, she learns that the difficulties of her childhood were far from coincidence, and her unprecedented potential turns her life upside-down. In a whirlwind of life, death, and a lot of pleasure, she suddenly finds herself responsible for the lives of the people who once protected her, and to add to the pressure, she begins to realize that some of those people might mean a bit more to her than she once thought. As tensions build, and threats mount, her determination to get stronger becomes greater than ever, and it's strength she's going to need, for what's coming for her.

Author's Note: This is my first proper work of writing, and I'm mostly learning as I go. Any feedback is welcome, but please be respectful to both me, and others. I'm only human, after all.
If you're just looking for smut, this may not be the place for you. This story will certainly be spicy, but it is, first and foremost, a story. There will be a decent amount of time before the good stuff gets going, and there may be fairly large gaps between 18+ chapters, at times.
Progression fantasy and being pro-slavery, name a more iconic duo. This work doesn't go quite so far; thankfully, there is a recognition that slavery itself is not good.
However, it attempts to make the point, extremely clumsily, that the slavers who capture, magically bind, and rape people, are nuanced and complex. That they have their own reasons and should be approached with empathy and consideration for the circumstances that led to them becoming slavers.

TL;DR solid foundation, shaky implementation
There's a lot to like about Heiress of Blood. Its strongest aspect is the characters, which are messy in a way that makes them feel more real than most. The prose is workmanlike, and communicates its point without drowning in needless descriptions. The overarching plot is relatively simple and open-ended, and has tons of room to grow. Spelling and grammar errors are few and far between, other than an abundance of commas. Adult content is sparse, with only 4/100 chapters being explicit. The smut itself is alright, nothing to write home about, which is ok since it's obviously not the main focus.
The flaw that keeps this story from 5 stars in my eyes is an earnest and endearing, but pervasive clumsiness. Its exposition is clumsy; often irrelevant and sometimes long winded. its pacing is clumsy; because of the frequency of the aforementioned exposition, as well as plot choices which serve stall the story. Its emotional moments are clumsy; never nonsensical, but often poorly setup and fumbled. Its handling of sensitiveness topics, like SA and slavery is clumsy; basically always discussed in vauge and simplistic terms. None of its ideas are bad (either morally, or as story elements) but most could be implemented better.
I think Heriess of Blood has a lot of potential, and it's more interesting than most "girl with a magic d*** gets a harem" stories. If you like that "genre", it's definitely worth your time.

Starting off, if the tags appeal to you, you *will* enjoy this story. It delivers on all aspects. The system is well thought out. The action is competent. The smut is considerably more than competent.
Where it shines, however, is its characters. Verena is about as far from a blank-slate MC as it gets, and her drive and confidence never stop being fun to follow. Its also 100% beleivable she could handle multiple relationships and have happy partners: she's just that hot, and absolutely oozes the charisma necessary to thread that needle.
The first main LI's are great, and fully formed characters in their own right, at no point ever seeming to just be a place for the MC to store their d*ck for a night. The 'L' word is thrown around a lot, and quickly, in this story, but dammit if it doesn't feel earned.
Its also necessary, as Verena has a bit of a cruel streak to her sensuality, and without the enthusiastic consent of all involved, it could come off as icky. Instead, it's enticing.
While the romance never lets up, Heiress of Blood manages to weave a story in between all of its (lovely) cutesy bullsh*t. A good story, at least on par with most other LitRPG I've read. It even managed to make me think about my stance on just summarily executing everyone involved in a slaver camp; to be clear, I still land on the execution side of things, but in context of Verena's growing abilities, the question made sense, which is pretty damn good writing.
All in all, this is one of exactly 2 stories I've read on this site that weren't out of a sense of obligation. Give it a shot, I bet you'll love it as much as I did.

This is honestly one of the best stories ive read this year and I usually hate shifting povs but this is well done while the romance feels a bit fast I actively find my self rooting for them Ari is my favorite.

One of my favorites I've come across. Great job with the pacing, loving the world building and getting to know the various characters, and I can't wait to see where the story goes.

The interactions that the main character has with the people that she meets with/has met with in the past are fun to read. Whether she is interacting with those that she holds dear to her heart, those that she is indifferent towards or those that she dislikes, the way that she responds to the characters she meets on her journey are engaging in their own way.
The way that the plot of the story is slowly presented to us is also interesting. And I feel like this is the case for both the stuff that will immediately impact an ongoing arc or the revelations that will pay off in the long, there is an interesting plot point to follow.
This story manages to make the protagonist reasonably strong despite the setbacks that she had to overcome in the past pulling her back from getting as strong as she could have been. The explanation for why she faced said difficulties is also something that allows her to be a pragmatic yet kindhearted person.
Also, the way that some of the dark topics that are mentioned in the story are mentioned are well written. The protagonist does not shy away from discussing many of the issues that plague the world that she lives in and it is refreshing that she approaches these issues in the ways that she does. Of course, the way that the other major characters go about dealing with the issues that plague the world are interesting to read about.
Overall, this is a pretty good read with great moments between the characters (both the good and the bad), a good story with an interesting world that has interesting lore, and moments that make you like or dislike characters, then give this story a chance.
