Remnya is a girl with horns and a destructive power sleeping within her. Growing up in an orphanage, she has learned to survive and protect the few friends who don't see her as a monster. However, when a mysterious lady adopts her, Remnya discovers how valuable her kind truly is.
Harried and surrounded by enemies, she must learn to survive in a dark new world, putting her childhood lessons to the test. A war is brewing on the horizon, threatening the lives of those she holds dear. The fate of many rests on the shoulders of a girl that just wanted to be normal.
But Remnya won't surrender. She will protect them at all costs, even if that means abandoning her innocence and awakening the crimson monster living inside her.
She is the girl with the crimson eyes.

Read this on the first iteration. A good story. Takes some twists and turns. I will say I would rather see where it goes in the future rather than a rewrite, still I was along for the first ride and found it enjoyable and can reccomend it.

Definitely loved this one! TGWTCE is about Remnya, a girl with powers she can't control and the war around her.
Remnya has definitely become a new favourite character of mine. I think she was perfectly written as a badass who also held the innocence of a teen. Someone who has wished all her life to have a normal life and then was pushed into a life anything but that, her actions were understandable as well as frustrating. But, after everything, I think she's perfect in her own imperfect way.
The story kept me on the edge throughout, and made me feel bad for the characters as well. There were many scenes which kept me up.
It's a good book for people who're a fan of dark themes and an intersting (also cruel) plot!
