Kawamura Kouta, Second year student attending Seijou High.  Younger brother of Kawamura Kanae.

An overprotective older sister and surrogate mother to Kouta.  She has been grooming her younger brother to be the ideal man for herself, though her plans go awry the moment Kouta begins dating Nakada Shizu.  She is the eldest sibling of the Kawamura household.  She hates her mother Reiko for being frivolous and neglectful, and is indifferent towards her father, Ryohei, considering him a scumbag on his best day.  She works at a studio office in the business district near her home, close to the Seven konbini along with her college acquaintance, Echizen Mafuyu.  She only wants the best future for her brother, and will do anything to make sure he obtains it.

Kawamura Reiko,  Former executive for the Daitokuji Conglomerate,  Former heiress to the Shimejima group, and married to a commoner husband, Kawamura Ryohei.

For the better part of Kouta's life, she has worked overseas for about half a year at a time, leaving much of the household duties in the hands of her daughter and husband.  She loves her husband very much, and is currently retired from her job with plenty of savings, awaiting the birth of her third child having just entered her 40s. 

Kawamura Ryohei,  A salaryman working for a black company, married to a former zaibatsu, Kawamura Reiko.

He married Reiko immediately out of highschool while she was pregnant with Kanae.  Went to work to help support their family, and in spite of his sexual proclivities, genuinely cares about his family even though both of his children tend to discount his capability as a father.  He loves to drink after a hard days' work, make love to his wife, and watch baseball.  His favorite baseball team is the Hanshin Tigers, despite not being from Osaka, a sentiment shared by the entire Kawamura household.

She has had a longstanding crush on Kawamura Kouta since elementary school when they used to play together in the park along with her other friends Uesugi Saya and Yorugata Ruru.  Became loose friends with Oda Kawazu, Yamabuki Rina, and Kobayashi Natsume over the years since they would end up deskmates along with her and Kouta.  Doesn't have a high opinion of Nakada Shizu, as she thinks she is a much better choice for Kouta than some slut.  Along with her little sister Sakuraba Chikako, she is a victim of domestic abuse at home from her mother Sakuraba Amane following the death of her father.

Yorugata Ruru:  3rd year highschooler at Seijou high.  The school's sukeban or onna banchou. 

She is the delinquent boss of the school, and in charge of a number of students who are her underlings.  She has deep feelings of admiration and respect for her Aneki, and none other than Kawamura Kouta's older sister, Kawamura Kanae.  She was once childhood friends with Kouta, and continues to maintain a friendship with her two other close childhood friends, Sakuraba Umeko, and Uesugi Saya.  Though she is loathe to admit it, she has taken an interest in Kouta as of late.  Dislikes women with large tits because she has none to speak of.  Easily irritated.  Her favorite color is pink, even though she wears almost exclusively black clothes.  Her parents are Yorugata Miyako, Yorugata Bunta, and her two younger siblings Yorugata Teta and Yorugata Teruo.

Uesugi Saya:  3rd year highschooler at Seijou High.  Runs the local dagashiya in the business district of her town.  President of the mysterious Anatomy Exploration Club.

The maternal granddaughter of a well known dagashiya which has existed in their hometown since the early 1960s.  Currently runs the Candy Shop after school when not engaged in club activities.  She is childhood friends with Yorugata Ruru, Sakuraba Umeko, and Kawamura Kouta.  Has a special relationship with Kobayashi Natsume and Konjou Ai, as well as Nakada Shizu.  Saya has one child, a daughter (Uesugi Satoko) whom she gave birth to in middle school, transferring schools in the process to hide that fact.  She is the current president of the Anatomy Exploration club at Seijou High.  Has a longstanding interest in Kawamura Kouta.
