Protagonist of the story. Yueshi has black and medium-sized hair, bright and sharp black eyes and an average height. His built is slender and his facial feature soft but manly. He has been sent to the Heavenly World alongside the Dragon & Phoenix Forbidden Manual, and is striving to both protect those he holds dear and also go back home.

Current Spear Arts:

Yueshi's sister in the Heavenly World. Xuehua has dark brown hair that falls down to her hips, and her eyes are gentle and honey-colored. As per Yueshi's words, she was an ethereal, sweet and almost holy disposition - although he believes that is because of his forbidden feelings for her. Had sex with Yueshi in Dragon Amongst Men (VII) and (VIII).

Yueshi's senior sister in the Flying Snow Dojo. Yuan Yue has dark brown hair that reaches the middle of her back, and her dark brown eyes blaze with spirit and vitality. Playful by nature, she has the bad habit of acting tough. First appeared in 'The Chosen Path (III)'

Yueshi's main rival in the sect examination and a member of the Soaring Dragon Association. Tian Tian has black and waist-length hair, and her black are blade-sharp and often cold and expressionless. She has a powerful and dominant, almost tyrannical, aura and her sword arts pursue the same overbearing path. Not one to speak often.

Member of the Soaring Dragon Association and Yueli's twin sister. Yuyi has gray hair that cascades down to her tights, her gray eyes glow with a playful and mischievous light, giving the girl this sort of aura that almost screams ‘too much energy’. Loves to tease other people.

Member of the Soaring Dragon Association and Yuyi's twin sister. Like Yuyi, her gray hair falls to her tights, but different from her sister, her eyes are placid, gloomy and dark. Yueli gives a cold and aloof feeling, and doesn't like to talk a lot. Chances are she just joined the association because of her sister.

Member of the Soaring Dragon Association and Yueshi's friend. Has black, nape-length hair that contrasts with his sickly white skin. Has a slender and skinny built, and is smaller than Yueshi. Xiao Yao has a gloomy disposition and always seen to have his head on the clouds. He is far more interested in poisons than cultivation. First appeared in Ancestral Dragon Seal (II).

Member of the Soaring Dragon Association and Yueshi’s friend. Has short dark eyes and hair, burly built and average face. He is good at socializing and dealing with people and wields a two-handed ax. He belongs to a rich merchant family, and was born with great strength. First appeared in Sect Examination (V).

Mu Qiang - Yueshi’s mentor and teacher in the spear arts. Has a mysterious background and is not from Flying Snow City.

Yuanqi - Yuan Yue’s teacher. Head of the Flying Snow Dojo and, apparently, subordinate of the Ling Family.

Zhiyun - an instructor of the Flying Snow Dojo who uses a whip and is known as a witch for ‘wasting’ men and busting their balls - a hard bone to crack. Had sex with Yueshi in a non-canon extra.

Lesser Characters:

Wu Feng - disciple of the Flying Snow Dojo, outer disciple of the Star Sea Sect and member of the Soaring Dragon Association.

Bei Lao - member of the Soaring Dragon Association, senior disciple in the Outer Court. Sort of half-married to Jiang Yao as far as others are concerned.

Jiang Yao - member of the Soaring Dragon Association, senior disciple in the Outer Court, and kind of half-married to Bei Lao as far as others are concerned.

Miss Cui - pavilion head of the Starry Sky Pavilion in the Star Sea Sect.

Northern Wang Third Prince, Wang Xiaofei - a saber user registered in the Thousand Deities Refining Pagoda who has achieved, at least, the first realm of martial arts.

Yu Fenghuang - leader of the Rising Phoenix Association in the outer court and Yueshi's friend.

Bai Yuanzhi - leader of the Starlight Association and Yueshi’s friend.

Gao Xiongli - tried to recruit Yueshi after he entered the sect and made him an enemy of the Heavens Will. Lost to Yueshi at the battle between associations.
