(Note: Information taken from Overlord Wiki)
While originally used by Players of the VMMORPG (Dive Massively Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) Yggdrasil over the course of time, and numerous Player 'arrivals', the Tier Magic System as become the started form of magic in most of the New World. Tier spells are divided between 3 groups of magic and 11 tiers of power.
Groups include:
Arcane: Traditional magic. More western in nature.
Divine: Restorative or healing spells used by priests. Divine magic casters could, after using spells which enhanced their physical abilities, end up stronger than a half-baked warrior.
Spiritual: Oriental type magic that uses talismans or psychic spells. More eastern in nature.
There are 11 tier of power for Tier Spells. The following is a short explanation of power, equvilent level, and how it is seen in the New World.
Tier 0: Not true tier of magic; includes things such as parlor tricks or slight of hand games. People at this rank are not considered mages.
Tier 1 (Level 1 - 7): The most common level of magic. Many practical magic are included in this tier. Anyone can use 1st-tier magic by training, though it takes too much time and effort for those without talent. Those capable of performing this tier can earn proper pay as a kind of special worker.
Tier 2 (Level 8-14): These are spells for those who have talent, numbering 1 in 5,000 to 1 in 10,000. It is the common goal of normal magic casters. Those who achieve this tier can earn a good income and reputation.
Tier 3 (Level 15-21): Only the brightest achieve this tier. 3rd tier magic casters are quite rare and they were considered to be most likely a platinum-rank Adventurer at the very least.
Tier 4 (Level 22-28): The highest tier that Fluder Paradyne's most skilled acolytes have managed to reach under his guidance.
Tier 5 (Level 29-35): A tier that very few have reached, among them the Thirteen Heroes 200 years before the start of the story. They are widely considered the pinnacle of mankind.
Tier 6 (Level 36-42): The highest tier magic for most inhabitants of the New World. It is said there are currently four humanoid magic casters who could cast 6th tier spells in the entire continent, including Fluder Paradyne himself.
Tier 7 (Level 43-49): Spells that only exist in legends. The Thirteen Heroes were said to be capable of using 7th tier spells, and a few individuals outside the group are rumored to use one.
Tier 8 (Level 50-56): In the New World, these spells are considered to be within the Mythical Realm. It is considered a Tier of magic beyond the means of any single human. Some large rituals can be used to boost a 5th tier spell to a power between the 7th and 8th tiers; but requires a large gathering of mages pooling their efforts.
Tier 9 (Level 57-63):The only record of 9th tier magic in the New World right now are spells of Ainz Ooal Gown.
Tier 10 (Level 64-70): The existence of 10th tier magic is known only to a select few individuals.
Super-Tier Magic (Level 70-100): Referred to as 11th Tier magic by the New World, and more commonly known as magic of the gods It is labeled as the highest form of magic above all other tiers. It is suspected to have been at least once between 500 to 200 years ago before the present day. It is a catch all tier of all 'End Game' magic in Yggdrasil.

It's a lot of fun, worth reading for an overlord fan. Glad the character has some empathy, too many Overlord stories go really hard on the 'emotional suppressed evil' route. The character is good and I like the way she was worked into the story. The only big question mark for me is the plot, how much is it going to match the themes and tone of the original? I'm hoping that the tension centers more around learning magic and being a force for reform/good in Ainz Ooal Gown than following the original plot. But it's a good start and I'm keen to see where it goes. It's a fun Overlord story with a good set of character

Every time I see a new chapter come out I immediately drop whatever I'm doing, haha.
One of the best Overlord fanfics (or fanfics I've read in general). I love the NPC take for the main character, and I look forward to seeing all the possibilities it creates for the story. I could see this getting more popular with more chapters, but I hope the author continues to take their time without getting burnt out; art needs time after all.

One of the most well written fics on this sub. And you can tell it's written by someone who really gets the novels and their characters.
Now to wait patiently for the next chapter

Very interesting, different from the usual wish-fulfillment fanfictions, this one has a very intriguing, well-written setting that I can't wait to see what happens. Though I wish there were more character interactions instead of different POV's and a little bit more backstory to the main character's previous life, it is very good, keep up the great work and stay in good health author-san!

I really love this story and even if the updates are a bit slow it’s always worthwhile. The fight scenes are absolutely fantastic and most of all the characters. This is by far the best Fanfic story I have ever read.

Alright, to start off, this story deserves a 4.5-5/5 rating. I absolutely loved his work here and I was quite impressed by it. Especially since I had a more negative bias over Overlord as a whole. But I was blown out of the water and this is now the second series Midas has produced that I'm absolutely in love with.
The story starts off with an interesting spin. Instead of being a character already existing in the world, or a Supreme one; he instead started his character off as an NPC and is treated as a Royal Vending Machine. I felt that was unique and quite original. But tbf, this is the only Overlord fanfic I've read.
I personally love the interactions between the characters in this series, and how Shalltear is done here too. I Ultimately hope Shalltear and MC are shipped together.
I came into this fanfic with low expectations, but an expectation of quality from the Author, and I was thoroughly satisfied. I recommend giving his Imperial princess a read too. That's another high quality production. Also, my only "criticism" of the author is his update ratio, but that's just me as a selfish reader. I understand this is a hobby on the side 😅 (although you should definitely open up something for donations and subscriptions)
