I've bought and rear the novel for youjo senki and happened across this. Don't usually read parodies but the prologue really does feel like it's come. From the author himself. Love Gate too so I'm looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

A gem fic that is rarely seen nowadays. I will go through a couple of factors on how it is distinct from the others, but if you want a short version of it, here it is:

It's so fricking good. Go read it!

Worldbuilding. The main details in GATE exists here, but with a touch of the author. Details are expounded more, even the finer ones are added. This portrayed the technological difference between a medieval fantasy world and a 21st century modern world.

Plot. It is good and well-planned. While it is currently slow, you still get to enjoy it. The build-ups and the various foreshadowing makes you want to read it more.

Characters. They are "alive". They do not act like one-dimensional villains/heroes/politicians but a character with complex thoughts. You understand the motives behind their actions, something that made reading this fic more memorable.

Overall, it is gold. The only problem that I have here is the lengthy and unstable update schedule. We might get a chapter once a month but we can also expect one after a few months. Still, this does not make it less desirable to read.

Characters feel genuine. Well written story, you can just tell that the author clearly cares alot about quality. Was quite surpised with how much attention he paid to even give a detailed and believable peace treaty for tanya's old world. 10/10, overwhelmingly recommend unless you're the guy that needs a slave smut harem in your every novel
