This book is the classic noble young lady abandoned/gone through terrible thing and family slowly finds about her tragedy. Personally, I think this novel is one of the better versions of the format.
these reasons include:
1. Decent writing
2. A more consistent executions of the format (other works often once the young lady is in a happy place quickly discards the trauma with this novel whilst not putting it your face still keeps it relevant to the plot.)
3. The slow reveal of the extent of the tragedy instead of simply shoving it all in the reads face in the first few chapters.
There might be a slight bias in the review of this novel as I love this story type. Nonetheless if you have never encountered this story type in the pass I recommend you give it read and if you have this is an excellent display of what such a story can bring.
