People are disappearing from Kvadra county without a trace, and strange, violent, dark, almost demonic humanoids appear in their place. But there will always be a light to oppose the darkness, and Ryan, an emotionally dulled shell of a man was granted that light by an unknown benefactor. The power to protect the people around him from the darkness. Alone, or together, he is dead set to find out what is causing this corruption and drag it out by it's roots, and along the way regain his emotions, no matter what.

Notes:
Although it is discontinued, I still think it is worth the read, as the first arc (If you can call it that) is concluded by the end of chapter 5, and I think the story ended up being surprisingly good, despite probably never getting a proper end. A new chapter will be added to this series each day until Chapter 6, where the story "ends". The story will be put from ongoing to hiatus when chapter 6 is reached.
This story was written before "Pontan's short stories" btw. It was made in like 2018-2019.
I chose to make the black humanoids black and purple as they fit together and really gives off that dark, evil power feeling, just like the MC from the manhwa "Solo Leveling".
I felt it was a waste to just let this story get slowly covered in dust on my google drive, so I decided to upload it here, to Scribblehub. My friends seemed to enjoy it, so perhaps others might too.
The chapters get really long later on, 10+ pages. You have been warned.
