The story appears to be a unique spin on the villainous female character trope. I've never read anything that better exemplifies the term "emotional rollercoaster." While the execution is excellent, the wording, in my opinion, causes many confusions owing to the lack of transition between past and present events. This, however, is not a major problem.
There are many interesting individuals who grow and develop during the story, each with their own goals and desires. I'm still enjoying the progress of Elaine's life as Estella, as well as her interactions with Alexander and Cecil.
