My world and you will always have a special place in my heart. It is very well written in the sense that you can feel the emotions doubts and angst that come with being a lesbian teenager secondhand. Menchikatsu brilliantly stays in the sole perspective of Kasumi. That leaves us to guess the true intentions and thoughts of the other characters. (Saying one thing and doing another. Nobody does that right?) I read this story from cover to cover in a day. Once I started, there was just no way I could put it away. This story instantly became one of my favorite stories on this site.

This is a well-written story that I enjoyed. It doesn't involve any supernatural themes (no truck-kun) - it's a very good "coming-of-age" (always seemed like a weird phrase to me, but hey) sort of story about a girl in a small town in Japan.

It has a nice set of characters who all feel very unique and memorable and a MC who is very relatable (for most who would be reading it anyway). The focus of the story isn't really on some fluffy pressure-cooker slow-build romance (not that I don't love fluff!... but that's not the focus here.), but rather more on the MC's concerns going into a relationship for the first time, concerns about trust, along with her fears of coming out in a small town with a conservative family. As someone who dealt with exactly that last bit, I always love reading stories where that's a strong plot element - it's very cathartic.

Oh, also, the story does a great job presenting Kasumi as both someone who isn't perfect and makes mistakes, while simultaneously avoiding the trap of having her just make patently moronic and unbelievable mistakes solely to forward a plot device. Ie, no "dumb protagonist" here (an infuriating flaw 90% of fiction on sites like these seem to make with their protagonists...). Her mindset felt very authentic to me.

The story is still ongoing in a sequel which is being posted at present. This is just the first volume so to speak.

I'm not really good with reviews, its a calm story about Kasumi discovering she is interested in girls (there a tag as girls love so it isn't a spoiler I think) in a really bealtiful way, and start to questioning if things would be good if she would persue her love interest or not, if things would be alright for her and her patner. If you like a character who really think about this kind of thing in a realistic way, you won't regret trying it.
