Status: Chapter 89 – The Truth Of Fishers...

Absolutely beautiful story telling. Even though our protagonist is given a boon, thier is no overpowered or fast pace feel in this story. It feels like an actual, fully published fantasy novel book, that has a great background, and enough to keep readers satisfied and interested in the story, while not providing an over abundance of fake or unrealistic events, which in turn have been replaced with reality and thought invoking scenes throughout the novel. We see from the eyes of someone who truly is still young and innocent in some ways, but in no way naive or uneducated enough to not enjoy his story, with a rich and beautiful world full of secrets supporting the world and the lore smoothly. Great novel, great story, great characters.

I greatly enjoyed the first book of The Hedge Wizard. As the title and setting reminded me of George R Martins "Hedge Knight", I had some high expectations. And this story met all of them. I definitely recommend it. I also recommend writing some review for it, as it definitely deserves some more attention. The main character has a lot of depth to him, he is not some overpowered self confindent super hero but is struggling with all the stuff, the world is throwing at him. His companions also have their own parsonality and even the side characters feel like real people. I greatly enjoy the interaction betwen them. There is a good sense of humor and despite many deaths in the book (another parallel to George R Martins books), there is no unnecessary gore.

I also do like the authors style of writing  and there are few to none typos or grammatical errors in the text (as far as a non native speaker like me can judge). The author has a good concept for the story line.

If the author ever considers to publish this as a real book, I will definitely buy it and put it on the shelf next to the hedge knight.

One of the most interesting and well written stories I have ever come across. The story is engaging, the characters endearing, and the worldviews is superb. Everyone, and I mean everyone, should give this a read, I guarantee it.

Edit: Just finished book one and I cannot wait for more! I certainly hope this gets a paper release at some point!
