This is definitely worth the read, I stayed up an entire night just binge-reading. Really surprised that this isn't more popular. This is now one of my favorite stories.

Well Done. It's very rare to find a book with an insane protagonist that is even remotely decent, but you managed to do it perfectly. The writing flows well and the plot is a very original twist on the classics. Honestly, I read so many novels that it's very hard for me to find ones that actually feel like I hadn't read something exactly like it before. You had me practically at the synopsis and had outdone my expectations many times over. One of the best I've ever read, and it means something when my book count is in the thousands.

Excellent dark LitRPG with almost completely flawless language. The world building is clever and unlike most examples intentionally doesn't make sense. That is in itself a point which actually drives the story... and slowly but surely drives poor Katie insane. After all, when you just respawn after death and learn and keep all sorts skills, the best option to advance is to die a hundred times to grind those skills upwards.

The horror is quite hefty and I'm surprised it is not set as one of the genres, but it's balanced a little by good (if often somewhat morbid) comedy. And it keeps up a steady pace at telling the (mis) adventures of poor Katie.

But note that when I say horror, I mean it. From bodily mutilation and wanton violence to outright bodily and mind rape due to powerful and/or controlling entities, this story pulls no punches in its descriptions. So keep that in mind when reading.

It's not poorly written, but the amount of abuse set upon the protagonist, both willingly and unwillingly..?

It quickly goes from disturbing, toward alarming, veering around silly and finally stopping where I start to wonder if this is someone's fetish.

In short, the main character is 'immortal', using a respawn mechanic. In no particular order, they are eaten, poisoned, turned undead, stabbed, beaten, nearly turned into a pod person of some sort, mind controlled, immolated, dissolved, dismembered, asphyxiated, suffers a heart attack, erased by the void, burned by lava, and probably a few other deaths I've forgotten.

Yeah, she's using an rpg game mechanic that offers increasing resistances to damage.. Which means she does all of the above multiple times. Sometimes for days on end. Even played for laughs it goes on longer than some might find comfortable.

I'll give it four stars for the story itself being well written, but not for the squeamish.

I found this story very much so enjoyable and hope you do as well if you decide to read it which I recommend you do. It's funny, it's interesting, and it's a great read.
