Synopsis

You'd think you'd like an ancient library dimension but eventually, you run out of books to read even when the place was supposedly endless. Astrid is going through this now and has gained untold knowledge and power through reading, researching, and training. She now must leave and find new books to read after thousands of years of being a bookworm. The world she goes back to has changed in many ways. There was an apocalypse and now people are left without spell casting and have to live inside of domes for protection. There are part human, part animal people that are just the cutest. The weirdest thing is that everyone seems to worship her. This is tough to deal with even with several millennia of knowledge.

The novel is pretty good, there is everything I like in it.

    The plot:

A girl from ancient time who locked herself in her magical library to read. Once she finished to read every books in the library, she decided to leave the library to read more book. However, she found out that the world completely changed because there was an apocalypse (probably several thousands years passed). She decides to learn more about the world and help the humanity (especially the poor) to survive using her magic and knowledge, but she wants book in exchange (lol).

The plot is pretty interesting and different from others stories.

    The Main Character:

The MC is very strong and knowledgeable when it come to magic and many other subjects (war strategy, kingdom building, business...). However, she doesn't have a clue about the current state of the world and why there was an apocalypse. In this era, she is considered a goddess by everyone, because it's thanks to her knowledge and inventions from before the apocalypse that Humanity managed to survive the apocalypse (even though she is not aware of it). There is a powerful church workshipping her, and everyone has to respect her if they don't want to be executed.

The MC's personality is quite similar to Myne from "Ascendence of a Bookworm", yet everything else is different. Just like Myne, she love books more than anything else, and is clumsy but knowledgeable.  An alternative title would be "what if Myne started at max level from the start".

Even though she is OP, the MC has a lot of character development. She is quite clumsy and shy at the beginning because she didn't meet people for a long while, but in the later chapter she is way more confident and domineering. The main character feel human and I like it.

    The world :

The world is quite unique, it's basically a post-apocalyptic era where the entire land is empty, hot and dry. The entire land is filled with calamity beast (with the size varying from the size of a human to the size of a moutain). To survive, humanity hide in huge domes. Also, humanity cannot use magic, but they can use magical tool (so the MC is the only one who can use magic). There is also some organization with a lot of power like the church. I won't spoil too much about the world, but I find it interesting.

    The grammar:

Pretty good, I didn't find any major mistakes. But I'm not a native english person so I might have missed some mistakes.

    The style:

The style is not much different from other stories. We have a first person POV, and it's quite easy to  understand the story. The novel is quite light-hearted overall, but it can become a bit heavy sometimes (exil, extrem poverty, curse...).

    Conclusion:

Overall, this is a good read for people who like OP female protagonist. So far, I can't find anything that can be improved: we pretty much get what the synopsis say. I recommand this novel because I think it deserves more attention, and I will continue to wait for new chapters.

    4. Something [Round Down] (Made at Chapter 42)

The synopsise does a good job explaining what this story is about.

You've might of read similar stories like this, overpowered MC enters a new place or world (Whether that be a time jump, planet hop, isekai, exiled, etc) And tries to fix the many problems afflicting it. It's overall a fun story with pretty good quality, mystery and compelling characters. It's also not too long (yet), so if you want to it give again, now is a good time to try it. Updates are slow, but not that slow. Plus most people are reading a billion stories anyway, and for me sometime having a story which updates (on average) once a week or fortnight is fun as I'm not blinded by words.

But yeah, overall really good story. Some of the other reviews go in depth on aspects on the story and you should read them if you want to learn a little bit more than what my very simplistic review can provide.

I read this work on RR and enjoyed it a lot. At the beginning it's pretty merciless with the pacing and info-dumping but if you can persevere through, the story will unfolds itself beautifully like a blooming flower!

This is a novel about exploration and city/nation management with a light fluffy setting. The main character brings a lot positivity into the serious and harsh world the story takes place. There is a fine balance between cute scenes that warm the heart and serious scenes that progress the story. There are a lot of problems that need to be solved and having great power isn't a solution by itself (but still helping a lot). The story is very interesting and keeps me in anticipation for the next chapter :D

This story starts quite slowly, but around the fifth chapter or so is when it truly shines! Astrid, the main protagonist, is strong, resilient, and despite her anxiety (which is something I can relate to), she always pushes herself out of her comfort zone. Overall, she is a reliable narrator with grounded motivations that push the plot forward.

Style and grammar-wise, like I said previously, it starts a bit rough during the first few chapters, but as the story picks up around Chapter 5, so does the overall style and grammar. The style flows much better the more you read the story, reaching its peak during the latest installments of the novel. It's easy to see the author's growth in writing style (especially after their hiatus) and grammatically as well. I adore the vivid way the author describes places (especially the libraries).

The story is creative, with concepts both familiar and foreign to our everyday life. I find the use of words such as "corporate" and "cars" very unique since I started the story expecting a High Medieval Fantasy world but was greeted with a far more complex one than the stereotypical worlds. I imagine the world with a mixture of medieval and cyberpunk vibes (I hope I grasped that correctly).

The characters are funny, rounded, and just enjoyable overall. Astrid possesses a powerful nature of her own, and without spoiling the story, she shows consistently a strong agency.

The author's way of presenting the character makes her feel light-hearted and just like a teenager but also it is clear we can see her growth in her coming of age. The way she interacts and grows with other characters in small subtle ways is a really nice thing to see. Despite the heavy topics such as exile, curses, and whatnot there are enough wholesome scenes that make the reading relaxing and enjoyable. I recommend this to anyone who wants a good read.

Style: It's very simplistic to read but advanced enough where you don't feel like you're just reading any other eastern light novel as the style has slight western influences to it. The style is easily consumable for adults and kids alike and presents conflicts in a way it doesn't overwhelm the reader (but we can see how it overwhelms the protagonist). The author uses subtle hints that show foreshadowing of future events which is pretty neat to see.
Grammar: The grammar is simplistic as with the style but easy to understand. Though the occasional spelling mistakes the author makes up for it with their robust use of higher vocabulary in accurate placing.
Character: Astrid is the classic girl in your class who you can almost deem as a know-it-all (and she really does know it all due to the books she has read) but you can see various teenage characteristics. Though those teenage antics are annoying, they grow on you and it's nice to see her slowly accept other people into her life and bond with them. Her reactions to getting close to people really show how she acts like a teen despite all the knowledge she has and it makes watching her grow up richer.
Plot: The plotline is something you don't really see all the time which makes this story unique in its own way. Though the classic OP protagonist is overused, there is actually a logical consensus on why she is OP, and the fresh world she now returns to opens a lot for world-building. The plot itself has something sinister going on in the background but is also a normal light-hearted adventuring genre as well. It has potential and I'm sure the author is going to do great with the story.
