The story is actually good and all but with how the character of the MC doesn't change even after years pass is annoying, but what I meant of no change is how is character not becoming more calm and mature, and he always faces the world like its a xianxia generic plot novel. His a living in that world for REAL a d should have developed a different mindset over time BUT NOOO author likes to keep his mindset semented on that thought, which makes it feel like FOR ME the story isn't as a good as the start.
All in all a good story which is being ruined by a generic plot of transmigrated villains to crush protagonist, I understand you make it that way to entertain the readers but too much and not even changing it a bit after so many chapters just really frustrates.

Look, you read some of those comics/stories where the MC is meant to defeat a "Protagonist" because insert " moral high ground reason ", but just replaces the protagonist (profag) terms of being a greedy Harem seeking/opportunist. In the current story, Bu Cai (The MC) is pretty self-aware of his faults and knows he will have to be an evil bastard to even stand a chance against Long Tian (a typical cultivation "protagonist"). In Cultivation stories, there are mostly only protagonists and antagonists, who are the heroes or the villains, who are good or bad, is pretty much relative and based on perspective.
He isn't a sociopath (yet), he doesn't go murderhobo, and cling to the adage that power is everything, so I am right blah blah... just to keep his "Dao heart" clean and claim to be a hero and sh*t. He is a genuine survivalist that will eat his own pride/sh*t to live, as such, he is still pretty relatable, but for how long... Honestly, the main concern to his character is, what happens if Bu Cai wins, when still fighting the "Protagonist" (pest) Bu Cai probably will have to go full-on Revered Insanity, but what happens after that, will he rest? Disappear? Make amends to those he hurt? or will he Replace the pest and become a parasite too, or at least take the top.
He kinda has a good reason to do that since even without the "plot" sucking off the "protagonist" the universe is still a dangerous place. But Bu Cai, instead of being a harem-seeking, incestuous, greedy, fragile ego having, muderhobo, he could just be a benevolent tyrant, or the most powerful hidden expert, training for the next mission/challenge.
The story has potential is all that I can say, currently...
