Rory always wanted to be famous, just not as a magical girl. When a pixie, desperate for a magical girl companion of her own, offers him the job, he knows that it's his one chance to get the kind of recognition that he deserves. On his first day, he stumbles in combat and has to be saved, his idol tells him off for thinking that he can do a girl's job, and he discovers an impossible magical girl who's not in the system. And fame has its pitfalls, too. If Rory hopes to navigate this strange new world he's been thrust into and do something about the looming interdimensional threat to his world, he's going to have to convince the other magical girls of the power of friendship and learn a lot about himself in the process.
