Beggar is just a small beggar boy, who doesn't know anything in life but hunger and hardship. Yet, one Christmas day, as he begged near the church, an elf gave him a sandwich. Beggar did his best to find a job at the docks, now that his belly was full. That led him to beginner bounty hunting. One of the jobs led him back to the elf, and the young demon's life changed for the better. Follow him along, as he becomes a one of a kind runesmith, and follows his dreams.
The series consists of two books:
A Demon's Childhood- 50 chapters
A Demon's Academy Days- 33 chapters
Complete.
Very good story, with decent world-building and plot, and with a very cute main character as well as good romance plot and subplot.
The second book however feels rushed and a bit bland (trying to squeeze 200 years in 33 chapters is ill-advised).
If I had to rate them separately, the first book would be 4 to 4.5 and the second one 3 to 3.5.
Also the characters are supposed to be 6 but just think of them as 10 and it'll flow more naturally (there are times when I forgot their age and was shocked again by it because of the gap).
I still advise to read it, it deserves more readers than what it has.
