It’s an amazing story about the descent into madness, it’s not for everyone for sure but it’s a great story. The grammar is great, the MC is a d*ck but you hate and root for him. The MC is insane and I love it. Great f**kin read I highly recommend it.
The main character is insane and survives through sheer luck and plot armor. Some tags are misleading - he is neither an antihero, nor is he evil, he is plain and simple insane. Not the crazy scientist or psychopathic kind of insane, but the delusional, primitive, demented kind, with no ability to grasp common sense or form rational thought. It's like watching an animal in a zoo, except the animal can speak and think in human language and almost possesses human-like intelligence.
Grammar and writing are decent. They often get messy due to the unhingeness of the main character and his internal monologues.
It was entertaining at first, but soon it got boring. I suppose it's just not my thing. By the way, I haven't read the source novel, if that matters.
