Fifty years ago, the people of the world were suddenly blessed with great power and the ability to grow even stronger through leveling up and acquiring grand abilities called 'skills'. All facilitated through an odd, blue panel that appears before those who are chosen.
Six years ago, a young mage named Sybil Sagecrest awakened to her abilities with the 'Apprentice' class. After the passing of her master, she hides away in a small village named Gallwold. That quiet life is disrupted when Sybil finds herself drawing the ire of the powers that be in the kingdom of Hyperion.
To survive, Sybil will have to grow stronger by pursuing the secrets of mana, spells, and skills.

I know a story is good when I instinctively search for it when I come back to my reading list to see if it updated.
The world is an interesting take on LitRPG systems so far, including how they impact the world at large. Not anything particularly novel in and of itself, but the execution is practically flawless.
The characters, though! Even with some of the tropes that make up parts of them, it doesn't consume their entire personalities. They still have their own wants, needs, and approaches to the world that help the story shift and drive itself along.

Enjoying the story a lot so far! A sweet gay LitRPG that is very clearly a LitRPG and does put some emphasis on the levels and skills of that, but is more focused on the romance and plot than on just showing off numbers. Adeline and Sibyl are a very nice leading pair for the story and I'm excited to watch them continue!
