Although it is discontinued, I still think it is worth the read, as the first arc (If you can call it that) is concluded by the end of chapter 5, and I think the story ended up being surprisingly good, despite probably never getting a proper end. I chose to make the black humanoids black and purple as they fit together and really gives off that dark, evil power feeling, just like the MC from the manhwa "Solo Leveling".

The story is a slow burn. If you are expecting quick progression, I suggest looking at some of the other great stories on RR. I personally enjoy and Patreon several, but that's not what I'm writing. That might hurt my chances of trending anytime soon (or ever lol), but that is fine with me. I'm sure some of you will appreciate the story as much as I do in writing it.

FAQ:

The story has elements of xianxia and wuxia along with some GameLit (at some point).

The story takes place in an age where tech has advanced to a complete integration with magic. Imagine everything running on mana or qi instead of electricity, and you will get the idea.

There will be crafting but not until later in the story. It's actually a core plot elemenet for Layla.

I'm writing this story for my own enjoyment and as a way of relieving stress in my life.

I'm not a pro author or a naturally gifted wordsmith. I don't have beta readers and every chapter posted is a first draft.

I'm still learning and will strive to improve as I continue the story. If you don't speak up I can't work on improving as an author. I welcome any criticism and encouragement that would help me become a better writer.

Because Jill doesn't want to be ripped to shreds and wants to find her friend, she decides to hunt the Monseuteo. When she makes that decision, she learns that, in a certain part of the world, magical girls do exist, and she is now one of them! Yet, she quickly learns that quite a few magical girls are psychopaths who have been alive for a long time, or their own magic has done something to their brain. Yet, determined to save her friend, Jill doesn't back down. As she fights, she soon learns that all of her friends but one have disappeared...

....and that she isn't really a good warrior either. Oh, and she has a dysfunctional team. No joke, one of them is a masochist, the other a sadist. The other two aren't better either. One of them is a jerk and the other one may or may not be a serial killer. Still, Jill has a mission and a job to do.

And so begins Jill's luck-needed adventure as a Ryōshi, a fancy name for a magical girl, a hunter of monsters, to try and find her friends and take down The Garden Of Sinners.
