Longer even since a supernatural war has nearly depleted the meagre magic and robbed the mortals of most their magic. The dragons and demons are nothing but folk tales, not completely forgotten but fading. Now the humans rule, the first big cities have been built, trade flourishes. The church has risen and persecutes those who are of old blood, carrying gifts of old magic in their blood. And those follow the old gods, who are nothing but powerful creatures that have left this realm, bored but not dead.

... more>> the old gods would have long since lost hope if not for a tale of a boy to bring a change. Born to human power and Sidhe royalty he is said to upset the balance. But is every change good? And what’s good to old magic that does not care about morals and changes everyone that comes into contact with it.
Enter Ian. A peasant boy, but he was always different, always more. More intelligent, more capable, just like his mother. Or so he had been told. He doesn’t know for himself, since she disappeared when he was still a toddler. After that only his father had been family to him. His brothers never loved him an intruder, born to a woman, that shamed the family by running. Only another mouth to feed. A crime committed by his father a seventh son of a seventh son that should have been handed over for the church to use at birth.
After the death of his father and being threatened by his own brother's Ian sets of his unloving home to conquer the world or at least to become a trader's apprentice. Smart, as he is, he asks for a job on a trading-ship. The Feodora. A ship that is much more than meets the eye. Travelling across Ley-Lines from one Realm to the other. He learns much more than he bargained for. A captain and a First Mate, that are too, much more than meets the eye.
Finding friends and family where Ian would never have thought to look for it. Discovering truths about himself he would never have expected.
Leading into a turmoil concerning the inheritance of his lost mother, the Sidhe, the Wild Hunt and much more. The church and the others planes won’t leave him alone either.

Gods may involve themselves, so does the church
People may change significantly, as old magic and immortality tends to do that
The narrative will be complicated and injustices will occur

All characters are morally grey, no clear heroes or villains here
This Fiction belongs to the same universe as Ancient Blood and Tavern's Edge.
Which are going to be rewritten and continued later on. Immortal characters might appear in their younger versions. This story is set before Tavern’s Edge, which is set before Ancient Blood.
All of them include themes and characters of the Celtic mythology, in a more or less free interpretation.
