I died. Then, I was reborn in a forest surrounded by monsters. The only logical thing that any sane person would do at that point is to train their magic for a thousand years. However! The forest became lonely, so I decided to go on an adventure!
What to expect?
-An overpowered dumb MC
-Isekai with terrible writing
-Dumb tropes that you always see

Started carefree, like the author was just having fun. Later, in the Dungeon Dive arc, it felt like the story was there to connect plot points. After chapter 33 it has a mixed feeling between the two.
Fantasy, no magic system, chaotic start, still updating (?).
Overall, not bad, but the shift in writing is harsh.

Amazingly entertain tales of the warped view of a "young human woman" completely ignoring reality in favor of her own ideas of what is going on.
If there was ever a story from the view point of someone inside the head of the mentally unstable this would be it.

There's no substance. They don't describe the setting or characters, just short and vague descriptions. The main character spends 1000 years in a cave writing books and inventing stuff but we only spend 1 chapter describing nothing really eventful after it's already over. Suddenly she has a minimap, we don't know anything about the minimap. It could be in her vision or projected or on her arm, we don't know. The author doesn't tell us.
And in all those 1000 years the protagonist has apparently not tested her power despite writing a whole library of books and inventing numerous different magics. She yells trees to shreds at one point but is so delusional that she thinks she made it up. Despite knowing the plants around her cave grow fast. She tells us this earlier in the same chapter. I hate this. I could deal with it if this was only one aspect of her personality but that's litterally the main perspnality trait so far as chapter 3. That she's strong but is highly delusional.
Characters and world building are *the most important* thing about stories like this. When the protagonist is so strong that nothing can stop them, those are the only interesting things. Fights won't be interesting when she one shots them. They will also be highly infuriating if she's just going to be scared the whole time until she one shots it, and then just deludes herself into thinking she got lucky, which she has to in order to be consistant with her character which spent 1000 years deluding herself at this point. This is my favorite story set-up. Unforunately it uses the trope I hate the most for the main character, and isn't written in a fun way. Sorry for the harsh review.

This is how you should do an OP MC. Fun, the comedy comes naturally to the characters and to the story. It never felt forced, and the story plays out organically as we go forward with the plot.
Heck, when it had to, the story did hit us with more serious chapters, showing that there is more to our loveable Eerie than what she shows on the surface.
Looking for a fun read? Give it a go!

Let me start off by saying I am very impressed. Normally, I struggle with novels like these because they're either "over-the-top funny" and can't be taken seriously, or the "MC is secretly OP but doesn't know it" trope isn't handled well. Neither is the case in this novel. The novel is funny, no doubt about it, but the author still manages to keep serious moments serious through good use of POVs or simply because the MC, as mentioned before, is not just a "silly parody MC."Additionally, the MC actively uses her abilities, which is something that usually doesn't happen in the "MC doesn't know they're strong" type of novels.
I really like the Eerie, her personality is just adorable and funny. There were moments in the story where I actually giggled. I also enjoy the other characters. This is exactly the kind of novel I like to read to have fun after working..
Thanks Envy for bringing it to us~
