Liu Feng wanted to be a cultivator who defied the heavens, surpassed all limits, and had jade-skinned beauties clamoring around him. He wanted to fight anyone who got in his way, and shatter the arrogance of those young masters!
Unfortunately for him, he died, and now I'm stuck here.
Jade-like beauties? No thanks, I have an awesome magical energy to study.
Young masters? Life and death battles? No, I would rather read some books on cultivation, and master some techniques that clearly don't obey the laws of physics.
There is a junior who has trash talent but suddenly started advancing by leaps and bounds? And he seems to be favored by the heavens themselves? Yeah, that has nothing to do with me.

REVIEW: 4.2/5
Although the title is obvious enough, the story doesn't have that much actions compared to the average xianxia. Face slapping is also not that much.... which to me is a good thing.
I don't hate it. But I hope the author can at least edit the sentences a bit. This is because chatgpt often uses grand words for no good reason. Sometimes simpler words are better in the proper context.
Especially on the dialogue, they sometime sounds like narrating instead of actually conversing.
(While reading, I like to have a mini little puzzle to figure out the sentences that the Author has prompt to get that kind of result from chatgpt XD)
Anyway in terms of pace, it's pretty slow ngl. Which I'm fine btw. But I know some people prefer fast ones.
So all in all, this is a slow burn story. I suggest to read it in a bulk rather than once everyday. (Not that I will do it myself though hehe)
I'm not saying I'm disappointed. I'm simply stating what I think.
And yes, I understand that the MC is a bookworm, so it is hard to expand on the world.... but I hope the author can work on this one a little. At least on the cultivation system and technique system.
Feedback for Author (ranked w priority) :
Chatgpt is a tool, not our teacher.
Anyway, I'm not here to rush you. In fact, take your time. I only hope you can cook the power system really well. No pressure XD.

This has potential. The MC is smart and not the dumb protag type. It's too early for me to give a rating. I'll wait and see where this goes.
Edit - Yup, as expected, the MC has a good IQ. SIde-characters are fleshed out as well. The MC doesn't have an insane power-up or anything, and he needs to struggle to achieve anything. Progression is kinda slow but not on burn-out levels. This story can turn out to be an absolute banger, but it's gonna take a while for sure.

"Came expecting a satire of xianxia stories and found a xianxia better than almost all others. It's kind of like how SAO Abridged started as a parody of SAO and then became a better show than SAO.
This story has done a lot of things that felt missing in most other xianxia stories. First, the characters Liu Feng and Song Song have some of the best character dynamics I have ever read, and better yet, we finally see a platonic relationship in xianxia. For most other authors, men and women being together for friendship, respect, or shared interests is alien to them. I also love that the authors made it pretty clear that Song Song is extremely supportive of Liu's arranged marriage—and, of course, the true main character, Speedy.
Also, I'm shocked that most other authors didn't think to add a character the MC cares about who is a trouble magnet. This would help most stories with "smart main characters" have more action while not making the MC an absolute idiot who can't handle the smallest offense.
Another plus for me is that the fights aren't clean. Unlike most Western books or even anime, xianxia fights are clean because they're between graceful immortals, and even when the MCs get injured, it's usually an injury to their cultivation with no scars or changes to their outward appearance. Here, when Liu Feng fights life-or-death battles, his bones get broken, he loses limbs, and he gets covered in blood making the fights have more weight."

To Author-sama
First of all, I thought I am done reading xianxia story, tired of the ever growing danger and the always favored by heaven, tired from the protagonist who constantly pulls a miracle at a life and death situation.
But then I saw this manhua, and not only once but multiple times I've seen it at my recommended list. And I totally ignored it, until it hit trending, so I decided to give it a shot why not one chapter wont hurt.
Next thing I know is im totally hooked, unlike any xianxia bullsh*t I have read so far, MC has No overpowered talents, No grandpa in the rings, No lady luck as a mistress, in short his not heaven’s favorite. But what he has is a Deep understanding of himself, Deep understanding of his techniques, a strong will, alot of perseverance, and a unbending moral compass, and his thirst of knowledge, he not only wants to learn all sort of techniques but as well as the theories considered as garbage and laughable left behind by madmans.
It’s certainly unique in its own way and like any of the xianxia story, it has the predictable plots like the heavenly endowed protag, and the jaded beauties and the crazy jaded beauties.
And reading how they interact with each other is certainly a comedic and entertaining, its not the first of its genre where the MC is not the heavens favorite but it’s certainly at the top quality among those. It’s quite fun reading this and I keep anticipating each and every new chapter SO PLEASE AUTHOR SAMA DONT DROP THIS STORY MIDWAY

This story is not only a believable Xianxia, but also a fun Xianxia, which is a rare combination in my limited experience with them.
There are no cartoony antagonists or villains, modern-human-morals supporting cast, reoccurring annoying antagonists, massive cast of likeable forgotten nobodies, stupid protagonist, or even the extremely cliche goal of immortality for immortality's sake.
Instead, we're given realistic antagonists that are dealt with in a realistic way, a supporting cast that feels like they grew up in this world that can and actually do help, and a smart protagonist with a simple, yet believable and achievable goal. Not to mention Xianxia cliche's that actually show up are explained in a believable way, unlike other handwavy and lazy stories that rely on them.
My only complaint is that some easily fixable things have fallen through the cracks, and the author doesn't seem to have any interest, despite appearing otherwise, in adding a couple lines to fix them. One happens within the first dozen chapters, the other in the next 30, and then the final one is an on going issue, making the MC come off as incredibly dimwitted. This, and the current lack of enough chapters to adequately judge the story as a whole, is why I'll be giving this a 4/5.
Brief Edit: The very last issue has become extremely confusing in recent chapters. I think I might have missed some pretty important information at some point? If someone could answer my question on chapter 114 that'd be great.
Entirely worth the read.

I love this novel, I started reading when it was new and it is a masterpiece. We have great world building, character development, and power system. The MC also is smart and actually knows what he is doing, but is still sometimes wrong that it keeps us on our toes.
