Professional grade work. I've paid good money for books of lower quality.

Good grammar and prose, clearly things have been plotted out and the characters are all fleshed out.

tldr; It's basically a shounen manga power fantasy, so you might have to switch off your brain in certain ways, but if you're looking for "a good one of those" this gets a definite thumbs up and recommend from me.

Now, about those problems. I wouldn't think about these frustrations *nearly* as much if I didn't like the story as much as I do, so don't think these are dealbreakers.

      Spoiler

Hekate is who drives the plot, not Elissa.

      • Everything that Elissa has, has been given to her Hekate. Elissa wouldn't have anything if not for Hekate.
      • For Elissa, her life's mission is to live up to the somewhat mysterious project goals of her patron goddess's eugenics program (what everyone else seems to think of as "her right" or "her destiny").
      • Elissa is cast about from arc to arc as directed by Hekate, or within the boundaries of Hekate's will. Making friends on Earth, finding equipment such as Gram, training at the academy? All within Hekate's parameters for Elissa to build war potential. Soulmates? Hekate's means of reward for adherence. Discovering the Snow family lineage? All part of Hekate's timeline. Falling out with Malicia? Doesn't matter, Hekate's plan is unaffected. Malicia will be forced to capitulate by the time things may impact said plan anyway.

Elissa is not terribly clever, she's basically just a brute.

      • Her most intricate battle plan so far, and this mirrors her attitude towards just about everything, has been: Go in quietly at first and go right for what I want, smash everything in the way when that doesn't work out (guess how often she has to smash everything).
      • She hasn't learned much from Earth. She cares little for Earth generally, beyond its communications technology (ie. the CLO). Nor is she a student of Earth history or philosphy, evidenced by her utter lack of introspection about the battles, societies, people she faces that have obvious parallels from Earth (except for comparing Malicia to a GoT character...) which she could then use to make wiser decisions.
      • She is very very bad about dealing with what she doesn't already know about (both socially and in battle). She was supposedly tutored by a master of manipulation (Malicia) but she still prepares few defenses against anyone who's willing to use guile and has been made to suffer several times for her ill-preparedness. She's also had to get deus ex'ed out of both her encounters with at-her-power-level ambushes: red dragon lady ambushing her, dark elf matriarch lady doing a backstab from stealth.

Elissa would be a Mary Sue if she weren't so bad at key things.

      • She has never suffered any long-term loss (unlike Malicia). Everything has been taken from her is able to be saved and she always succeeds in those rescue efforts eventually.
      • She never has to make detrimental trade-offs or compromises. She always has the option to smash/kill whatever gets in her way and that's somehow good enough.
      • She is constantly challenged by those weaker than her for the plot to show off her power but has always had extenuating circumstance save her from those that are stronger than her.
      • She "just so happens" to get randomly shipped of the world two worlds that has her soulmates are. Oh, the second (third?) planet also happens to have a miniaturized not-Starship Enterpise tucked away to be found right when she needs it to sneak back to Earth to steal from and wound Malicia.
      • She was handed everything at birth and still (on top of a destiny that will ultimately lead to her own personal happiness) gets more: unparalleled physical and magical attributes (strength, beauty, powers, etc), untold wealth, the finest education possible, unrivaled social status, unwaivering loyalty from her social inferiors (relavent since no one her social equal trusts her so fully, they have their own concerns), -literal- divine favor.

"Malicia was right all along!" but she gets shafted for it

      • Elissa lacks the strength to back up her routine poor decision making, demonstrated numerous times by her reliance on plot armor to survive.
      • Malicia's still stronger than Elissa (as of ch.45) but doesn't go to save Daphne. Hmm, why might that be? Because even she'd get killed.
      • Elissa repays a decade and a half of being raised, loved and handed everything by Malicia with disdain and violence (self-defense isn't an argument to me since she could have put some thought into avoiding the conflict, but again, Elissa is not clever).
      • Elissa's arguments to Malicia about being held back are all BS. Malicia serves Hekate and Hekate wanted her raised on Earth (sent her there directly as a baby, specifically put soulmate Dawn there). Hekate wanted her starved of cosmic power juice (else she woulda sent them elsewhere). Hekate wanted her to meet Dawn, find Gram, blah blah blah. Malicia meanwhile provided her with the best training (magic, etiquette, languages) and social connections (her godmom is the dragon queen for crying out loud) available, granting her as much strength as Elissa could reasonably handle at any given time. If anything, Hekate is the one holding Elissa back but Elissa can't put that together and blames Malicia because Elissa is not clever. And since she's a brute, she'd rather smash Malicia into the dirt than confront Hekate about any of this.

Personal critiques of mine that lie mostly with the genre (some things the author may want to think about) :

      • The main thrust of the plot is fundamentally regressive (reestablish the old status quo). Get the Snow family back on top, so they can continue to keep everyone else under heel.
      • Elissa's family is bloodstained. Worse, they've gone so far as to use mass mind control to quell rebellion in an effort to buy time and maintain the status quo rather than allow for society to change in a way they didn't allow. So surprise, surprise. The Snow family has numerous and powerful enemies both in and outside their lands and the maintaining of the status quo will invariably lead to more bloodshed in the long run.
      • Elissa's current style of affecting change on a political and social level has been... not so good. She will: (1) Take whatever top-level person (s) stands in the way, kill them or enslave their minds. Replace the dead ones with whoever's next in line. Repeat. Nevermind the basic socio-political system that produced these "bad guys", leave that as it was. (2) So long as she's on top, society can stay just the way it was. Day to day operations are deligated to whoever was in charge before and she likes enough.
      • Elissa's mindset of considering the otter-folk pets is infantilizing at best. They're her citizens and sentient beings. Wait, they're cute? Guess we can make all kinds of assumptions about their competency and worth then.
      • Anyone here think that if the otter-folk were to make advancements and achieved massive prominence through their technology, economic and/or cultural power that their political power under Elissa would ever reflect that prominence? I don't. She'd probably smash/kill/mass mind control them if their interests fell out of line with hers and they got uppity. Basically, aspects of society will be forever capped in this universe because there's always someone on top that will hammer down anything that breaks the status quo.
      • Rule #1 in this universe is Might Makes Right. I generally don't like that sort of thing, but especially when your educated someplace like Earth where that philosophy has been shown to be no good for advancing your society beyond a certain point (read: Elissa doesn't learn from Earth history).
      • The story comes off as saying: "However society was recently structured would be great if not for those few bad apples. See? If you just put the right people in charge, we get a happy ending!" It's frustrating because it ignores the weight of history on people's actions and is too pollyanna about things like absolute monarchy, tribal societies or other things we've seen die out on Earth.

      *Some Spoilers*

The story is really good and has a lot of potential, though it has a number of issues that would need to be resolved for to to be an amazing good read.

      1.  male characters, almost all of the male character can be categorized into two groups, those who are complete assholes who all but ask to be slapped around, or those who are very subservient to women. The first is just poor writing because you have made them assholes simply for the sake of being assholes, (a lot of writers fall into that trap) and the second, while isn't too terrible, its kind of a theme in your book but i'd like to see some dominant men who are neither incompetent or assholes. You showed it a few times with Heracles when puts his foot down on some Malicia's shenanigans, but there needs to be more, I mean Elli took everyone and left due in part to his unwillingness to go against Malicia even when he knew what she was doing was wrong.
      2. the church, the church can defiantly be a major plot resource for your story due to its history in persecuting "witches" and the decimation and conversion of the "pagens". However, you fall into same trap as earlier where in which you have depicted them as being evil simply for the sake of being evil. What makes a good villain is them believing that that what they are doing is right. As an example with the church you have it that they are responsible for trying to purge the non-humans and magic users out of existence, instead of saying boo they're evil, have them instead be the guardians of the normal powerless humans, I mean this is a world where magic and magical creatures are far more powerful than normal humans and would be able to and more than likely did either enslave them, prey on them or treat them as food in some cases as with say the vampires. Also, if it is established that gods are real and religious organizations have real power, then why isn't the church more powerful and relevant. You really are missing out on a major story element by simply ignoring this, especially with Malicia raiding the Catholic church and all. I can't see them not responding with some angels or crusader knights. (Though you have hinted at that possible futures when you specifically stated that Malicia is now vulnerable to holy magic)
      3. side characters. Other than Dicinna, all of your side characters are under developed (even then Dicinna is still kind of under developed), especially Dawn who is going to be an even more relevant character going forward with ch45. I mean early on you mentioned how she was from a branch family and didn't want to deal with clan politics. This needs to be expanded on especially since Hecate made a deal with the dark elf goddess to make Dicinna her soul mate so following suit she must have made a deal with Amaterasu for Dawn. I believe Danny too needs some attention, her two friends kinda act like handmaidens or guards and you mentioned how Danny was surprised that they were coming with her, makes me think that Danny comes from an important family and that griffin dude was just forgotten even though you layed some groundwork for him, this can be addressed in the impending Alien invasion arc, which is honestly is looking less and less important, and or going back and doing side stories, I mean what were they doing while Elli was on Svartalfheim.
      4. dropped plot threads. As I mentioned previously the alien invasion arch is looking less and less relevant, another one would be the Cabal, nothing has really been done with them. There are few minor threads as we'll such as with the court case that never happened, or with Blake you never said what happened to him or his impeachment or with the league without him who is in charge.

other than those points and some continuity errors such with non humans rejoining the world (in the prologue you have them coming out in WWII but have them make their coming out again with Tesla's announcement. The story is going really well, keep up the good work.
