The Ultima Project

An attempt to make a super soldier by The Ark Organization, done rather brutally by injecting a subject with a massive amount of different serums and enhancers. The fatality rate is way too high, but after a dozen tests, the unlucky 13th one actually yielded great results. Resulting in Ultima, the super powered solider.

Reality Dive

A new VR game that has been highly anticipated recently, and only recently entered a full version 1.0. It's biggest advertisement is the so called 'Infinity Possibility System' which allows it to monitor a player's actions and make NPCs respond accordingly. Combined with a number of other systems, such as an AI system to create custom voices and an extensive NPC generator, it promises to be one of the most life like games ever made. Now available for the Gateway Capsule Console.

Reality Entertainment

The developers of Reality Dive, who have not responded to the rumors about their game causing psychological damage, yet.

The War Guild

A large group of chaotically aligned players, both chaotic neutral and chaotic evil, who only want to make the entire game of Reality Dive their personal playground. They are one of the largest guilds, having no hierarchy, besides the founder (who has not been revealed yet), who is usually respected. They are spread all across Reality Dive.

Location
The Ark Organization

While using the term organization, it is more like a nation, located in the western continent of Larian, a decently sized planet. It is also the 'evil' choice for players starting on Larian. It follows a lawful evil leader, who seeks to subjugate the rest of the planet in order to gain ultimate control.

Larian

A starting planet available for beginners in version 1.0 of Reality Dive

Taren

A nation located in the northern region of Larian, a decently sized planet. It is a true neutral choice for players of that planet. It follows a survivalist mindset, simply working to create a functioning home and sustain themselves, it is ruled by a monarch.

Characters
Alexander "Ultima"
A super soldier created by The Ark Organization to serve as an exploratory look into the process of forced evolution. He suffers from a lack of emotion, humor, and  an inability to refuse orders due to hypnotism. He has been observed to be a creature of habit, and speaks with a dull tone usually.

Appearance wise he is 5'2" which leads to a deceptive amount of shortness compared to some of his peers, as well as an average body and looks. At the time of becoming a super solider, his eyes ended up clouding (though this seems to not have affected vision), and his black hair became lighter in color.

He posses a unique ability, which he has himself dubbed Ultimate Limit Release. This causes his eyes to regain color, only to become a strangely vibrant rainbow. It does not affect his hair color at all, nor does it physically change anything else about him. However, in this state he undergoes a considerable power-up which causes him to also undergo a state of unyielding hatred. Orders still affect him, but it has been deemed that this state is a touch more uncontrollable than his usual state. Use with caution.

He has also demonstrated the ability to create shockwaves with his fists.

He posses a secondary version of ULR, that is much more powerful, and also much more draining on him. Known as Ultimate Limit Break.

He is a hidden NPC of Larian.

Officer Gareth Alos

A high ranking officer of The Ark Organization and an only child. He has been a part of the nation since birth, and while he is not an undying patriot, to be so high ranking he is definitely confident in his leaders and the country.  He is the direct commanding officer of Ultima, and also one of the main NPCs of Larian.

Doctor Arron Cruz

One of the main contributors to The Ultima Project, and was the one who created the specific formula that finally resulted in Ultima. Despite the fact that he as a scientist should remain unbiased, he has great confidence and trust in Ultima.

Soldier Jackson Wiles

A soldier who just unluckily happened to be on the receiving end of two of Ultima's attacks. This has resulted in him having a disapproving attitude towards him, and he is the first negative relationship Ultima made.

Mark "Death Seeker"

Leader of the chaotic neutral guild known as 'The Seekers' a group of people, all with high levels of experience in gaming, whose goal in games is to uncover the greatest secrets and share them for fame. Their most recent foray is Reality Dive, and Mark managed to be the first player killed by Ultima by trying to sneak up on him and Gareth. Despite what the system said about his 'fixed' relationship, his anger towards the title he was given of 'wasted opportunist' compels him to move forward and try to mend that relationship.

Amy "Amber Gem"

The first one to talk with The Ark Organization by explaining what happened to all the people who suddenly appeared on their cameras, she started out her journey in Reality Dive by lying. Having to hide the truth from Gareth made him become increasingly annoyed with her, while her lying secretly earned the ire of the lawful neutral Ultima.

Henry "Lapis Lazuli"

A streamer known for their bizarre avatars and autotuned voice. He ran into Ultima on pure chance, and believes that the Hidden NPC may be a chance to really spice up his Reality Dive foray. He as a person is young, but cares for his family, and by that note, he is loyal to his friends and fans.

Steve Harrison
The CEO of Reality Entertainment, and Executive Producer of Reality Dive. He's around 30 years old, and is the main coder responsible for Reality Dive's greatest feature, the infinity possibility system.
Kelvin "War Himself"
Leader of The War Guild, a group of players who revel in and enjoy causing trouble and war, while also being tightly knit and brotherhood focused.
James Kari

A higher up of The Ark, in fact, one of the main bosses of the faction. He is also the commanding officer of The Amissa Lumina, or The Lost Lights.

Items
The Gateway Capsule Console

A personal entertainment device costing upwards of several thousand dollars for it's most basic version. It is a joint project between a number of smaller gaming companies to corner the market.

The Gateway Capsule has been available for three years, and has seen consistent updates and addons that further enhance the experience it gives, making it a massive money sink for some. Despite this, the base model still works for fine for most VR games, Reality Dive is the first game to ever require the most expensive addon however, the No Contact Neural Control System.

The No Contact Neural Control System

Requiring a special install, as well as measurements of a persons brain capacity and responses to various tests, it is one of the most expensive addons for the Gateway Capsule Console, but promises total control over a player character. Beta tests were extremely positive, although alarmists have tried to say that it is extremely dangerous to use such technology out of fear of so called mind control.

Premise is really interesting. Execution is ok, but it could use some more work.

    Spoiler

Like how Ultima doesn't seem to have much of a reaction too himself being isekai'd and more importantly subsequent enslavement.

    Spoiler

As well as the actions he takes isn't really clear on how he wants to go forward.  Like does he want to continue being in the organization or kinda make his own path..

But a good start for a first start I presume, I'll see how this pans out. :≫

Starts of really promising. As I continued reading, most things made sense if you think about it. There were a few grammar errors, but not to the point where it would cost a star.

Overall, Very good novel. I would 100% recommend this series to a friend.
