After spending his entire life tirelessly dedicated to medicine, our protagonist dies with the deep regret of never having fulfilled his dream of becoming a doctor and, above all, not having enjoyed his life. However, fate grants him a second chan
This has become one of my favourite novels. The characters in the story feel alive, not just 2 dimensional. The story has been grand so far, with amazing pacing for it & where the only grammatical errors are a misspelled word every few chapters. If you only care about the numbers, everything is a 9 or genuine 10 out of 10.
...
All of the characters are well done, having their own motivations and thoughts as opposed to being only "follow protag" or "go against protag". A lot of them are also recurring, which is always nice to see, so if you start to like a character - know there'll be more of them, even if not a lot.
The setting & "grand plot" are both very interesting, as well as very unique. The main story is progressing steadily & has been amazing so far. We don't know everything that's going on behind the scenes, speaking more so about the mc's background, but we're learning it with the side characters in a satisfying manner.
The story utilizes misunderstandings quite a bit, however, they're not just "misunderstandings used for plot convince". They have a reason for existing, as well as actual consequences. Most of all, they don't drag the story down, unlike in almost all other stories that utilize them (imo at least, I'm not bashing you if you like those kinds of books : P).
Meta notes: the chapter uploads are consistent & progress the story meaningfully. The chapters aren't short, nor long, reading them doesn't feel like a drag & will leave you thirsting for the next one. Again, grammar is like a chef's kiss, there's scarcely a misspelling in every few chapters - and it's always understandable what was meant. Same goes for sentences & their structure, the author conveys what they want perfectly, you're never double guessing yourself "is this read like this, maybe like that?".
As a final thought, this is an incredible story full of inspiration, originality, and written with love & care. I fully recommend you reading, or at least try to. It's not worth missing this masterpiece if you're thinking of not reading solely from a tag or two that you usually don't like.
Thank you, On_A_Whim, for blessing us with this story. Have a good day everyone, byeho~~

Not exactly what I was looking for with the "evil protagonist" tag. It's not a bad novel, but the tag doesn't fit and the novel isn't for me. It was funny at first, but later I got bored. I felt like the flashback was dragged out, especially when you just kept relying on/using misunderstandings for almost all the comedy.

It's funny. It is also a misunderstanding comedy where the misunderstanding is intentional and works.
