Make the best of what you have, they said... But what I am supposed to do when the best I have are red-eyed freaks, a child who's supposed to be the jailor of the most dangerous being in the world, a snake bastard with serious boundary issues, and a whole world of super soldiers with licences to murder.
And you know the best part? None of them like me so much...
Oh shut it, old man! Take that Will of Fire and shove it up your—
Yeah, this second swing at life isn't panning out...

I don't own any character other than my OCs.
The cover pic is also not mine.
I love this novel
The novel is descriptive enough and also looks at naruto from a different perspective as to the original. It shows how ordinary people of the naruto verse could possibly live.
The main character isn't over powered and have to learn everything from scratch. The story also shows his skill in mastering his craft. The story doesn't do a time skip or just randomly allow the MC to completely master the skill he's learning, instead we get an over time progression of the main character's familiarity with the skill he's learning.

If writing on layered onion by fleshing out each skin could be described, this story fits the image.
Since first arc I could see the details and realistic take on naruto universe. Butterfly effects and whatnot, truly an interesting read for such pov.
Plot direction is not that special, holds interest in the pov taken where timeline placed strategically. Pacing wise it might not be satisfactory because plot progression takes time. Details as main plus point for me stands out where it helped a lot in visualizing MC thought, character, and feeling. Character writing focuses on MC with lots of struggles but with carefully timed-added relationships turns the somber vibe to a more dynamic one. Diction, words, and grammar overall is A grade (nothing fatal). All in all, its a good read for detail and slow kinda slice of life lovers in naruto au where growth grows among difficulties of life.

Excellent story. It's easily in my top 3 among the countless Naruto fanfictions that I've read.
The first thought that comes to mind about this novel is: This is what a proper fanfiction must be like. Realism is on point, grammar is practically perfect, expands upon the original work flawlessly.
The only thing that might be a turn off is that Takuma (mc) isn't OP at all and the pacing is slower than average, because he actually has to work to the bone to improve himself (both of which to my liking), unlike a certain blond, who's the reincarnation of the son of the 'ninja god'.

It's just a great story, a very solid story with great characters and a very believable protagonist.
there was a synopsis that said that it mentioned the fact that the village did not try to delve into the protagonist's talent and it is implied that it was something that eventually every shinobi can do or that the protagonist comes from some lineage with this ability (which I think is unlikely) and that at most you can consider that he has a talent for genjutsu and not that he is immune (which a few chapters later is seen as a resistance/talent or simply as an inability in genjutsu that makes him more resistant and that he can enter inside one).
a perfect fanfic that if anyone knows something that has the same level of quality, I ask you to disclose it, it's very rare for such a good story, let alone a fan fiction.

I like this one.
First off, the prose is pretty good and I don't remember seeing any major grammatical errors.
The story is rather slow pacedand the author is clearly taking his time to try and establish the MC's place in the world. The Takuma takes a lot of L's at first (pretty sure he doesn't win one fight till around chapter 30) but it still feels like he's making progress the whole time.
Overall, a pretty good story with a fairly likable protagonist and a more 'realistic' approach to the Shinobi world.

Easily 5 stars. There really nothing to complain by about. It fulfills everything that a good novel needs, while not relying on an OP main character, System, etc. And its really satisfying seeing a character grow, while not relying on some cheats and also not being unbeatable. Great work, keep it up!

If you have ever wondered how a much more reality-focused story with an actual underdog of an MC would look like in the Naruto world, then look no further!
The OC starts out very weak, gets whipped by the circumstances all the time and has to work their behind off to earn even the slightest of victories. Yet seeing him succeed becomes more and more satisfying the longer one reads. A nice touch on the shounen Aspect of hard work with potential to explore further Aspects such as camaradery and love in the future.

It was very interesting to read this story, it somehow conveys the essence that Naruto wants to convey about determination, the protagonist so far has not shown any talent other than an apparent talent for genjutsus that he doesn't even know yet, but even without talent he trained non-stop and the chapters of the first season are like the essence of his unbeatable determination and thanks to that he managed to pass the academy test. In summary, this work is very good if you want to see the point of view of a truly ordinary person trying their best on the path of being a shinobe and gain the strength to be able to protect yourself, the protagonist's growth is kind of slow but definitely satisfying in a different way, it's like playing a difficult game and becomes extremely happy every difficult part you can complete
