Ashlock awoke in the courtyard of a demonic sect... as a tree.
A tree that eats people.
And one that grows stronger over time due to a daily sign-in system and cultivation.

So far the story is very interesting, the main characters are likeable (MC, Stella and potentially Diana), if I have to pin point some downside of this novel then I would say it is the fact that practically every man (except for Mc) is garbage but it's downside only if you have a problem with it (I don't care as long as the story is funny and I don't see many mistakes in writing [grammar, etc.] and this story fulfils these conditions).
The good things with this story are that there isn't any harem (and I hope there won't be any in the future because I am sick of it), and the system stuff is interesting.
Summarizing, this novel is good, but the best method to confirm that is by reading it :)

It's well written and thought out novel about a niche concept - MC being a tree. Characters behave naturally* and dialogue is great.
The caveat is that the world is based on Xianxia of all things, meaning that a lot of cultivators speak and think like bricks (example: speaking out secrets literally in front of the house that their enemy lives). This whole setting gives me PTSD from when I didn't know better and read a lot of 'courting death' and 'how dare you junior'. So yeah, expect a lot of cultivation.

A well-written, enjoyable read - some gore, if that bothers you, but nothing gratuitous. All the main characters and friendly side characters are easy to like and the villains are instantly despise-able.

A very interesting synopsis. I had high expectations from this. It started good as a tree demon trying to survive.
The character impressions were amazing. The background is decently fleshed out.
This is where it goes downhill a lot.
The trope of the MC surrounded by beauties exists here too. Only that the MC is a tree and the beauties are only two.
Same limited lack of male characters close to the Main character.
Every male of same level as the 2 beauties arrested either forced to be killed by main character or the beauties.
Or wants to take advantage of the Mc
Before you think it is only one character. We have the guy that started the sacrifice. The ravenborne heir, the ravenborne cousin. The evergreen youth. The winter youth with nature soul core.
Only those 2 beauties are kind and decent enough to help the MC. Yes they sre beauties even though dozens of paragraphs arent dedivsted tomdewcribimg suvh q, azing beauty.
Too many coincidences a lot of the time.
Undeniably a good work though but still cliche in a slightly better way than others.

I like the plot of this novel a lot, I just hate the system a bit just a bit, but overall its a good novel truelly worthy to have 5 star...
Its my thoughts so to don't argue thanksRead More
Decently demonic tree. Story is plenty engaging. No murder hobos. Cultivation and cultivators are simply tropes. Stuff is happening and the story is progressing.

Almost seems like one of the fae realm trees, most certainly an amusing little sapling, does sleep a lot.
