This novel captured my attention from the very first couple of chapters and has me wanting more.

The first thing that struck me about [The Jester of Apocalypse] was the quality of writing. Little to no grammatical errors made for an easy read and allowed me to focus on the story. And what a story it is! The fight scenes are chaotic, gruesome, and thrilling.

Another aspect that I appreciated was the world-building. It was not too complex, but enough to keep me engaged and interested in the world of the story. The other characters (POVs) were fleshed out enough to make them likable and added to the overall narrative.

However, what really stood out is the main character, Neave. The author has done an excellent job of portraying his transformation from a naive little boy to an absolute monster. I am engrossed in Neave's story and felt a range of emotions throughout the novel.

Lastly, I appreciated that this novel is different from every other cultivation novel out there. It had its own unique take on the genre, which makes it stand out.

[The Jester of Apocalypse] is a fantastic web-novel that I highly recommend to anyone who wants a good read or is looking for something different. The quality of writing, chaotic fight scenes, world-building, and character development make it so much better.

The story is confusing, I can't wrap my head around the style or the direction the author trying to tell the story because of that I can't decide whether it is good or bad, just odd.

The MC is plain boring, he act insane for the sake to appear insane. It is so fake that it is bothering me a lot, I don't get the gist of writing character that act insane for no reason. Perhaps it is just odd angle to know what being insane is like, so I don't know if it is just my inability to understand the MC's character or it is just badly written.

The characters introduce so far is not memorable, personally. There are also many odd occurances that I don't understand why it happen.

Overall I give it 3* because on personal level I can't understand the story or characters in general, but perhaps that is on me so other reader might find it much more interesting.

Grammar is 5/5, world building is 5/5  simply based on the small amount of info we have gotten this far, characters are very thought out and seem very real to me 5/5, power system is a 5/5

    Spoiler

love the idea of monster cores and such that allow you to absorb powers from them

    [collapse]
, overall it is FANTASTIC 5/5

I don't like cultivation stories. I find them hard to read and have trouble staying interested but you got me author. I liked this one and have been binging it while waiting in the hospital. It was an interesting read and will be an excellent book after it is streamlined.

I like : the long chapters, in depth growth system, detailed growth of MC, writing is good as many cultivation novels go through a translator and are hard to understand... this one is understandable

Needs work : the MC has trouble interacting with other characters and I don't feel there is much of a developed relationship with the supporting cast

The second thing I was disappointed in the title. I was hoping the story was either going to be about an MC who was under the radar and no one gave a second thought to while he worked. Or the MC was going to appear to be an idiot and display awesome powers. A jester to me is a person who plays the fool but doesn't need to be foolish. Maybe when I get through the second half I will be happier with the title

Really hard to write a review for a story you put on hold for a while. I enjoyed the beginning a lot, but it kind of started to drag at a point. Just when you believe things are going to start developing in one direction, something almost quite literally spawns on top of the MC, causing him to power up, and pivot in another direction.

The world building is also basically non-existent, not helped by the fact that humanity are basically bugs that only exist due to accidental obscurity.
