I recommend Gladius Belii so far, but its only released up to chapter 15. Admittedly its still way too early for a full review. I just want this novel to have something up for the meantime for new readers.
I am enjoying the authors writing style and think its worth checking out.
My biggest gripe would be its protagonist. Ruthless characters are a staple of these sort pure power fantasy narratives but it is little too much for me.
I am having a hard time with the murder loving protagonist. The author loves to outright tell the readers about the setting an characters in a concise and detailed manner. This authorial voice more closely resembles a historical discussion and just is not very immersive for me. You get to know a lot about the protagonist but very little of this is conveyed trough characterization of any kind. Show don't tell. The action scenes are cool. Its just that they don't have the setup needed to make me invested in their outcomes.
I do play Arknights, and as a player I feel the author is making good use of that setting. Hoping that the author holds off on introducing known Rhodes operators and core lore characters. Instead giving the spotlight to the often faceless flavor characters from Arknights + introducing originals. This fanfic seems like a good chance to flesh Arknights and expand on its interesting world.

Really good Arknights fanfic. My only complaint is that at where I'm reading Rhodes Island hasn't come into existence yet so many characters still haven't had the chance to shine. I hope there will be more readers and good reviews that this ff definitely deserves.
