Author's note:
I've always been a fan of progression fantasy. However, I do feel disappointed by many of them, with too many characters that vanish into irrelevancy, sometimes arcs that are overly repetitive and a lack of characters ideals. In this story, I aim to instill more character ideals, motivations, and integrate said characters throughout the story, and ensure their interaction with the main character remain relevant to his heart. Perhaps, it's best to say I want the story to have a 'human spirit' that one could feel in old-school wuxia and action/adventure stories.
The story concept is like any other cultivation novel, but it is still executed pretty well. We have some good world building and interesting side characters. The power sets are done really well and it seems like the build-up is well thought out. There are no "spicy" scenes, but that all changed around chapter 55.
