After a sub-par day at college, Bianca awakens in another world, and soon learns there is more to it than she initially thought. All kinds of mysterious powers surround her, and when she has a chance to train in the world's cultivation, she learns that her path will not be ordinary.
Her energy is bound to a technique with a demonic presence, soon forcing her out of her comfortable life in a small village and prompts her to grow stronger and fiercer if she is to survive.
Soon, she decides that there is only one way to keep herself safe - if the whole world calls her a demon, then she ought to act the part and claim a land where she and others like her would be free of the dangers of this strange world.
However, what might the consequences of that act be? How long will it remain an act?
(This story contains:
Cultivation, lots of yuri and futa, and a focus on characters and their relationships with less of an overarching narrative or goal to steal away their attention.)
(Also, if you come across this on a website other than Patreon or Scribblehub, it's stolen. I don't know why anyone would even bother (though at least two websites did), but please read it here, on https://www.scribblehub.com/series/448879/i-was-called-a-demon/)
First the positives,
1. The author is definitely good at writing smut scenes that isn't as smutty than the implies at the index.
2. Grammar corrections are few and far between, definitely easy to read in terms of grammar
The negatives,
Bianca getting angry with "They called me a demon, I'm just trying to exist" is basically the only reason something happens in this story...
1. Slow, the progression of arc 1 is fine. However, at the end of arc 1 and the start of arc 2 is such a slog to get through, especially the first combat of the MC doesn't feel like she did anything worth noting, in terms of her progression as killing a living being. Naive Protagonist Tag NEEDED STAT!
2. Very dumb MC and Dumb conflict catalyst, the stealing is very bad in terms of the readers view of the MC. Shuming has none to near zero of monologue in order to actually understand his viewpoint, it's basically just "SHE'S BAD! I KNOW IT" he doesn't even sound smart or anything. I don't even feel like he's motivated or anything. Its like "oh we're doing this again" after the 10th time of him showing up.
3. Characters that just show up without any information at all! Like I know is xianxia, but please give as a reason to remember a character's name if you saw fit to give them the name in the first place
4. Smut demands a lot and I mean A LOT! I don't want to have chapters and chapters of smut, but at the few times it appears, make it MORE! The author can do so much more, because I know they're good at smut. Please deliver to that tag.
Probably dropping this

I liked it so far. The author excels at writing Smut scenes while even make simple things like kissing seem very emotional and erotic. The grammar seems fine and the worldbuilding was a bit basic but good enough considering the genre.
Give it a shot.
The emotional aspect was quite good and I felt like that the irrational guy who hated her resembled a republican rather well.
Her emotions when she was cornered made sense, her feelings for the FL, her overall situation etc. She should have also at least considered running away with her demonic dantian, kinda weird that it didn't come up earlier considering how "successful" or more to say lucky it later was for her to get through that experience.
I think her runaway experience got stretched out a bit too much and I had to skip through quite a bit of text as it wasn't enjoyable to read for me.
The new partner is very interesting and all chapters including her were pretty great so far. I also like that the "Inquisitors" aren't irrational and actually take into account that their victims might be innocent. Hopefully the scouting ahead party won't mess up too much.

A lot of what this novel does is actually pretty fun but a combination of a very incompetent MC - especially the rampant stealing which is just a bad plot device to force conflict - a forced plot progression in the first 3 arcs, and a surprising amount of idiots really begins to sour a lot of the chapters. Also, there was one example of a kink-heavy smut scene (Smelling kink) that should have been - but wasn't - disclosed of in any way, though this is a more minor complaint.
Arc 3 was a minor improvement over the prior arcs and arc 4 felt quite refreshing with an interesting start to arc 5 for now, so I have chosen to increase my rating from the original 3 stars to 4. Hope the story continues to improve in the future but I really can't see myself rating this higher unless the MC changes quite drastically. I like the system and the cultivation parts are kinda interesting, at least.

It’s good but the plot seems strong armed to happen and it also wasn’t really what I was looking for. Everyone seems pretty irrational and it’s a cultivation novel so fair enough. A lot of characters get introduced quickly and then vanish. The MC is honestly just extremely lacking in both common sense and seems outright incompetent. I am not a women so idk but she seems to just do things with out thinking, had she literally just gone to eat and not to anything strange then she could’ve avoided the whole confrontation at the end of arc 1. Who stand with out looking? Why would you straight up go for the kill? The whole scenario was just strong armed so it barely made sense. Like how did she get away? There were 3 people there that were stronger than her, she should’ve been surrounded by villagers, why didn’t the guy just kill her when she killed the village chief? The MC in this fanfic is just lacking in every sense of the word, it felt like she just popped into existence with out any prior experience about anything, what did she study? She never went camping? All I know is that she has the urge to steal sometimes and she’s a pervert.

I would really appreciate it if you could name your chapters like how you did in your other novel.
Other than that everything is good. I'd 100% recommend this novel to anyone who is interested.
