Old and new geopolitical blocs are seeking to dominate the new order beyond Earth and Luna. One such bloc, codenamed the Alliance, recruits Yang Ru to destabilize Mars, in hopes of securing a political and economic foothold on that planet. Yang Ru’s work stokes the flames of civil war on Mars. Two factions emerge, Colonel Valesquez’s 508th Vanguard and Zeyk Duval’s Concerned Citizenry, claiming ownership over the direction of Mars’ uncertain future.

The blizzard rises day after day in the Frostbanks, forcing numbing snow and deadly winds onto the land and its people. Part of the larger nation of Gonphar, Oglios has obligations to respect if it wants to keep its relative independence, and the city's elite busies itself to fulfill their orders, supplying Gonphar as a whole with cheap labor in the ways of countless Returned. Meanwhile, the specter of war rears its dreadful head from across the mountains as border tensions with the Ehodan Kingdoms increase. Yet most ignore the threat, having more pressing concerns right within Oglios where warmth is limited, and free space is at a premium.

Three individuals converge during these trying times, lost in their personal struggles.

The Collector, a mortician by trade, dwells in opposite circles. Pulled by decades old ties to the Circle, he stays loyal to the city in his own way by moving through the underworld in order to uproot corruption.

This is a work in progress, obviously. I want this to be a fully fleshed out novel eventually. It has a lot of moving pieces and things I'm still figuring out which is mostly still in my mind but I still wanted to put it out there, and hopefully get some feedback! Yes, this is a "reprint" of a book published in the 1970s. This is not new or being written, it was finished 50 and published years ago. All chapters are being uploaded on a release schedule, but the story is already finished and complete.

NOTE: Each “chapter” is its own short story that stands on its own. The collected chapters, as a whole, tell many facets of the events surrounding Quaraun’s life and the lives of his friends and family. As such, the “chapters” do not progress in a linear beginning to end fashion, rather, they move forward and backward in time, including time travel portal travel, and flashbacks. The full series spans a time period from 800A.D. to the year 2525, with stories zipping back and forth to any era between those years.

This means you can read each “chapter” on its own, in any order, without reading the ones before or after it, or can read them in any order you please, if you choose to do so.

It’s lots and lots and lots of short stories about one character and his friends and family. Every main character with in each story is somehow a friend or relation to Quaraun, even in the stories Quaraun himself does not appear in.

I’ve tried to make sure editing was complete before uploaded, but some typos or grammar errors may have slipped through. If so, I’ll edit those as I notice them.

Note: I am Scottish, and this book is written in my native language. NO, BoomFuzzy's dialogue is NOT a made up language it is a very real world language called Gypsy Cant also known as Scottish English also known as Gaelic- if you have trouble understanding him, there are plenty of Scottish English/Gaelic to American English Dictionaries out there. American English is not my native language, and this series uses Scottish English spellings and grammar. (No, this is NOT UK English or British English)

A fox, adopted by a girl of the same (kinda) species find himself having feelings for her. After she gone missing, he wanders the street, but a glowing thing appears under his feet.

A boy, having an useless Gift that only allow him to fully neglect any stats reduction lower than his own, at the cost of having all stats being 1. But when his Gift levels up, his life start changing, and the secrets of the world start revealing themselves before him.

This girl was wearing vintage clothing and had quite a distinct accent that Steven had never heard of before, except in movies and TV series. Looking around, he knew something was definitely wrong. The abandoned house looked newly built along with other old houses in the vicinity. Trying to understand the situation he's in with all the clues he has, he eventually asks the girl what year it currently was to confirm his speculations. To this, the girl replies with a serious tone, "1927."

Steven doesn't know what to do with all this information. Will he be happy that he could know more about the dark past and possibly try preventing it? Will he be distressed in trying to figure out how to come back to his own time?
