Sometimes I'll have a vivid, detailed dream, sometimes it'll be vague with only a few memorable details, sometimes there will be no dream at all, or none worth posting.

Scenes involving Pokemon or lifeguarding tend to be reoccurring themes throughout a lot of the dreams I have. Oddly enough, barely staying airborne by flapping my arms or legs is also something that occasionally reoccurs in my dreams.

A night on which stress had built up to its peak, his dreams weren't of much comfort, and only another source of his woes. Upon wishing that his life could be much more like those of his dreams, that he might be able to be like the characters his mind had created for each one, he had encountered an oddity that had touched him to the core.

Hello! This is a new short series, not sure on the exact length but I'm aiming for about 6-10.
The story itself is mostly some short stories, with some interconnected elements in-between.
This story has no set schedule, I would like to do at least one chapter a month, but this is not my main priority and is just a fun side project I will continue every once and a while.

Healer Yuen Sou Yuet has somehow found themselves saddled with a travelling companion, a gender-shifting, trouble-making necromancer. They're stuck with each other - Sou Yuet must undergo a trial to prove their worthiness as successor to the Yuen Mei School of Healing, whilst the necromancer essentially requires a parole officer after committing multiple crimes and continuously escaping imprisonment. 
And so the unlikely duo travel from country to country, investigating the disappearance of legendary creatures across the world. The farther they go, the closer to home some of their revelations are.

Found and rescued by another, similar but distinct; departed and never seen again. Left alone, yet again. Alien among aliens. Forced to hide and blend in… to a point; hunted, yet not really. Young, yet ancient. Analytical, yet aloof. A mind decayed by time, riddled with contradictions. Masks and faces worn as one, both without identity. A purpose long lost.

Gods scheme upon rotting thrones, shackled to wills beyond their own. Great powers devour their world, cursed with stomachs never satiated. Delusions of fantasy dreamt to swipe away the nightmares heralded by shooting stars. The world’s play motions forward to the choir’s tune as the past withers away; the stage evolves and changes, yet remains static and contrived.

Meaningless happenings, given meaning. People found, turned to characters. Memories, turned to story. Events in observation, narrativized. A protagonist found and placed on stage, made to dance the play of it which observes, indifferently yet with ever maddening interest.

It's said that a good cultivation story ends with the main character gaining immortality. Well, I say that that's boring, we all know the main character is going to survive everything, it's just a matter of how. Instead, why not start where most stories end? Well, I can't say that being weak isn't captivating in its own way; let's start there. Hated by the heavens, as is the cliche standard, what else... Broken engagement? Worry not, felines don't have to deal with the hassle of engagements nor the shame of a broken one.

What should an immortal cat do with his life? Simply finding fish to eat is hard enough, and now he's got to push past the limitations the heavens cursed him with? Well, what's a death or two to a cat that wants his fish, especially if it's a cat with more than nine lives. Eating tasty fish is the most important thing in the world after all. And he's got all the time in the world to find the best fish of them all.

(Author's info/comments about the subject) First off, I write whenever I have time and am not dealing with my numerous health issues, so... I write kinda slowly and sporadically. I'm sorry about that, I wish I could change it, but... I ain't got a magic wand. If I did, I would make myself healthy - well, no, I guess the first thing I'd do is make more magic wands, but assuming the standard rules for wishes - wait, this isn't something for the description of a novel. I'll end this tangent here, but I'm keeping it in because it might be funny to some people, and I'm not sure what to replace it with.

Put under Fantasy, might be more like Xianxia, but I wanted to be safe, as I'm not too familiar with the genres. Always looking for suggestions of tags I've missed. Some of the other tags won't play a role until later. <<less
