This is a rewrite of an already completed novel that finished running in December of 2023. It is not on Scribblehub, rather a website called RoyalRoad under the name of Aegis: The First Attempt. More than ten years went by, conflicts started to arouse in court, feuds amongst brothers appeared, times were changing; and yet only Ye Shuo continued to remain the same.

Nobody could expect that, the new Emperor would pass away three years after he took the throne, only leaving behind his one and only child as heir. With painstaking efforts and great difficulty, Ye Shuo finally supported his brother’s only child to the throne; however, he only took away his attention for a moment and just like that, the child was gone.

The imperial clan didn’t have anyone left; and could only let this Imperial Uncle of him to inherit the throne.

With that new knowledge, Aleph decides to train for many years to become strong enough to free himself. But when his chance is finally approaching, he learns that the world is in chaos. Wars never stop, and thousands of people die with each battle. No matter where he goes, death and battles will chase him.
