But on June 15th, a world-altering event transpired. It only lasted for a fraction of a second, however it did more damage than any war could do. The United States, with all its power and might, had… well, vanished. The continental United States, a once thriving nation of 380 million people, now just forest, plains, desert, and mountains.

Now, the 49th President, President John Dresden. Is forced to lead a nation scattered across a foreign world, a shaken economy with the foundations themselves cracking, and an anxious nation. While on Earth, mass hysteria over the vanishing of The United States pushes world leaders to their breaking point, and people to do things they wouldn't even thought of doing just a few weeks prior.

Will this be what finally causes Earth to remember its past, or be what finally brings down The First Realm?

Calm followed for three decades, the Contingency's vast industrial capacity lending it to be an economic power, and its airtight security letting it hold international summits between world leaders.

Learning of the sorcerers' next target, the gods spoke to the pantheon of Aelna and came to the conclusion that the AI will be sent there to slay them once and for all. This new world had fantastical beasts, powerful magic and a wide variety of cultures and nations. It would have made peaceful relations with the rest of the nations, warned them about the threat and prepared alongside them for the final fight.

Of course, this didn't happen. In a legendary display of Murphy's Law, the summoning process goes horrifically wrong. Vital blueprints gone, critical infrastructure shattered and its army a shadow of its former self. Arkon must now recover its power and navigate its way through this very minor wrench in its plans.
How will the machine and its legions adapt to the new world? How will they change the events of history?

As the Korean government recognizes that the gateway is the only way to save its nation and the future of the planet, it quickly pools its resources to build up a forward base in 1592 Korea and take over the entirety of Joseon. Thus, transferring as many modern Koreans into the past to rebuild and reform Joseon, ensure Korea's prosperity and independence, and deal with the asteroid that will come in 2022 (that is 430 years away from the year 1592).

However, things are not as easy as it seems. In the modern world, various nations start to take note of the massive amount of resources and manpower being devoted to an insignificant rural region in the middle of South Korea. The world's leading powers begin to suspect that something is not right with the small Asian nation, including South Korea's closest ally: the United States. North Korea continues to threaten its southern counterpart as the mystery grows bigger, while the People's Republic of China plots to join in on the fray once the true nature of South Korea's "project" is revealed. Meanwhile, in 1592 Korea, the modern Koreans must deal with restructuring an entire "primitive" nation. Joseon is completely unfamiliar with republicanism and is filled with slaves and traitorous nobles.
