Katie is an introvert who can bring out her true personality when playing online, with her favorite game being Skashrim: Dayo, the older version of Skashrim. However, when she and others receive a newer version of the game, they became trapped in it. Though they may have infinite lives, they feel everything the way they would normally, making the rather hard game torture to play.
Their only hope is to get the Elscor Key to escape. But, stuck in this situation, Katie couldn't help but feel like she is bringing her team down. So, one day, she and some others went to a small town to take a break. There, they managed to go outside the border of the map and stumbled upon a hill.
There, they meet a strange NPC that they have never met before. The NPC took one look at them and started smiling. The next thing Katie knows, the NPC starts attacking her friends, killing them...
....permanently.
The NPC they just met is a famous internet rumor who everyone believed to be just a story. Unfortunately, it wasn't. For some reason, the NPC spares Katie, intent on playing with her to its heart content.
Now, Katie finds herself half being tortured half being protected by three dangerous entities who call themselves God. Are they God and are they one or three entities? That doesn't really matter. What does matters is that none of the rules of the game world applies to them, and they are dead set on Katie. Whatever their goal is, it can't be good.
If Katie wants to ever get any help from her twisted stalkers, then she has to get close to them. But, to try and understand these beings is a dangerous thing. If Katie goes too far, it may be too late to just think of them as simple monsters, and the monsters may be unwilling to let her go, even in the real world.
