Cleary Baldwine - The study of Fairies

Fairies are a major species rarely found away from the Mother Tree of their home forest. They appear to be tiny humans who have grown wings however, they do not share any bloodline with humanity and are only born from the seeds of the Mother Tree. They are gendered but do not need to procreate, given how they are born. They are also known to be helpful pranksters, adventurers frequently look forward to encountering one as they may lead them to a difficult monster but it will be living in an area with expensive resources that are easy to collect.

They have strong control over both Ether and Spirit and can hardly be harmed if within their home forest. They live long lives of over 1000 years before evolving, they have two evolutionary paths that lead to three different races.

If they were Ether spellcasters for the majority of their life they will become an Elemental, shedding their physical bodies and consciousness, living on instinct alone. More on these creatures can be found in my separate study of them.

If they were Spiritual enhancers for the majority of their life they will become either an Ent or a Dryad depending on their gender. They will merge with a tree of their choosing, usually near the Mother Tree, and become one with the whole forest through their roots. Allowing them to share information with their Fairy brethren when someone is harming the forest.

Cleary Baldwine - A study of Beast-kin

Beast-kin are a minor evolutionary branch of humanity who share traits with animals like those found in the wild. They are born either by having a Beast-kin parent or when a human develops their Spirit enhancing enough and uses it to take on aspects of an animal frequently, causing them to develop the traits of that animal permanently. The most common beast-kin clans are those of the feline, bear and canine families. All beast-kin have completely lost access to manipulating Ether, as it is not listed on their status page, due to their racial proclivity to the usage of Spirit enhancement.

Few beast-kin are the victims of discrimination as nearly half of the countries in the world contain Beast-kin royalty, they are still kidnapped to be bought and sold in illegal slave markets but that comes with a risk given their improved physical abilities over a normal human and the number countries that punish such crimes severely. Most beast-kin enjoy fighting and can most frequently be found in or around areas with heavy monster populations. Feline beast-kin are well known to enjoy climbing trees and using them as a perch for finding prey, they make for some of the best scouts. Bear beast-kin are known for enjoying honey, they become fast friends with those who offer good honey or honey mead, and for producing some of the best honey mead in the world. And canine beast-kin are commonly found employed as town guards, as members of the military or the royal guard. Many think of canine beast-kin as the easiest ones to approach and interact with, since they are the most common and relaxed of the three top clans.

Cleary Baldwine - Fey Studies: Dryads

Dryads are evolved female fairies who specialized in Spirit enhancement, they have abandoned their physical body in order to merge with a tree within their home forest. They can uproot their host tree to wander the forest and are the only creature able to use their Spirit Essence on other creatures and not just on themselves. They have been known to bless humans who have shown respect to the forest with increased strength. They are also the only Fey race known to occasionally live outside their home forest for long periods, serving as representatives of the Fey to royal families in human-kin nations for around 100 years before being replaced by another Dryad and returning home. They are also able to communicate with the other Dryads in their clan no matter the distance between them, though they have never disclosed how.

I love the the story. I think the idea of coming to a world while being created as a race that has never existed there while also not being an OP race such as angels etc. Makes it a lot better. The upload is a bit delayed and it feels nearly droppd but I recommend it to anyone interesting in dwarfs and kingdom building. It is comprehensive, understandable and logical for a fantasy novel. The MC is not gullible and naive, he is not overly attached to useless things and tries to improve himself. Love it, has great potential and I hope the author starts uploading again.
