Characters
Nathan Hernandez

A young man supposedly of Colombian and Puerto Rican descent living in the nation of Honduras. He is our protagonist and is a mythical "Changeling", a creature with supernatural blood who was placed in the crib of a human child, who was presumably taken in his place, shortly after his birth. Possesses both superpowers, in the traditional, comic-book sense, and supernatural abilities that are owed to his heritage as a changeling.

Diego Madrigal

One of Nathan's friends, possesses an impressive, even distribution of attribute points ranging from twelve to fourteen across the board aside from his grace score which is an eleven. A fellow senior at the American Academy of Honduras.

Mirella Rodriguez

A scholarship student at the American Academy of Honduras. Has intelligence and wisdom scores in the mid-teens, the upper end for normal humans. Is a leftist and sympathizes with many controversial Honduran figures.

Spoilers down below.

Spoiler

Mirella is a wielder of "Type-Green" powers and possesses a natural spark that awoke in the wake of a traumatic incident she witnessed, causing her powers, which are an extension of herself, to initially focus on healing and pain abatement.

[collapse]

Raul Octavio

One of Nathan's acquaintances and fellow classmates. The former tallest member of Nathan's graduating class, the son of wealthy businesspeople, and a popular student who is well-liked by his classmates, including the senior's underclassmen.

Alexandria Drakos

A witch and the youngest member of a strange coven. She was the possessor of an otherworldly, intensely powerful artifact that she sacrificed her ownership over in order to escape from battle against a newly empowered Nathan who had just become a darkness elemental. She and her sisters managed to flee from battle, at the cost of their home, and are no doubt up to mysterious activities as they lick their wounds and prepare to encounter Nathan again.

Bigman

Bigman is a strange, minotaur-like creature who is one of the "Trapped", unique beings within the Sanctuary who cannot leave it without the express intent of the Owner. He is a powerful, primal entity who is intimidating looking and ready to fight anyone. "Bigman" is not his actual name, but a nickname given to him by Nathan.

Olivia Winter

The "Commander" and de-facto leader of the "Trapped" people within The Sanctuary. A potent, powered being who is a human wielder of various superpowers.

According to tradition, the "Commander" of The Sanctuary is supposed to wed the "Owner" of The Sanctuary. She is over twice as old as Nathan, and so the two of them have mixed feelings about that particular tradition, but neither really hates it since both beings are biologically immortal.

M.I.

A steward of The Sanctuary and one of The Trapped. She seems to be a machine, but is actually some sort of highly modified human, and aids Nathan with regards to specific, specialized searches for potent treasures within the Owner's Manor and throughout The Sanctuary.

Naomi
The maid of the Owner's Manor, the actual home and headquarters of Nathan and Olivia once Nathan acquires control over The Sanctuary. Lives in the Owner's Manor.
Technos

Technos is the A.I. tasked, originally, with safeguarding the building in The Sanctuary where the most potent technological artifacts are stored. Nathan, as a reward, bestows Technos with a high-tech exoskeleton upon becoming a technorganic lifeform by attuning to the nanites, organites, femtomites, and picomites, that Technos has kept safe for an untold amount of time.

Technos is currently capable of controlling a potent artificial body that can enact great destruction upon their enemies and is quietly loyal to Nathan.

Jorge Mebrano

Jorge Mebrano is a human devotee of "Idros"* who was healed by "Illuminos"**. He is a cancer survivor whose cancer was cured by his deity, and who now works to slowly spread faith in "Idros" throughout Tegucigalpa and Honduras. He was given minor arcane powers to defend himself, heal others, and honor his god.

*Nathan using a pseudonym and utilizing potent healing abilities.

**Nathan disguising himself as an angel who worshiped and served "Idros".

Joshua Orlando

A sleazy businessman with ties to Honduras's real-estate market and an interest in Tegucigalpa. He is the first named character to see Nathan utilize potent angelic powers, and is significantly affected by powerful charm-based abilities that Nathan possesses as a skilled charm-user. He is an ally of Nathan, but only knows of him in his guise as an older businessman.

Sebastian Romanov

One of the several supers known to the government of Russia confirmed to be from another world, an alternate universe's Earth. He is a member of the potent Romanov bloodline, a clan of people from an alternate Earth's Siberia. He is a powerful, elderly super who possesses the physique of a much younger man and is at least psychic. He entered our Earth through an artificial portal that he and his allies created which teleports those who travel through it to an unknown point in the alternate world.

Anastasia Voss

A potent polytype super known to possess both "Type-Blue" and "Type-Orange" powers. An ally and adopted ward of Sebastian Romanov, who is herself a powerful psychic and gravity manipulator. Came through the artificial portal in Ukraine with him and with other members of a strange convoy for as of yet unknown reasons.

Location
The American Academy Of Honduras

A famous, and in some ways infamous school situated atop a hill in a middle-class neighborhood. Has a long and storied history, and many wealthy, successful, and prominent Hondurans send their children there to receive a high-quality American-certified education. Numerous students from the academy have gone to prestigious universities elsewhere in the world, and a rare handful have grown up to be congresspeople in Honduras's National Assembly.

The Sanctuary

Both an artifact and a location, this dimension was under the control of Alexandria Drakos, a witch who dwelt within its "Owner's Manor" with her "Sisters" (members of her coven), and remained under their control for millennia. The coven lost their ownership over the artifact in the wake of their disastrous encounter with Earth's newest superhero, Nathan Hernandez. The sanctuary is a gigantic dimension controlled by its owner capable of a myriad of things such as size-changing and being temperature controlled by its owner.

Its previous owners, the ancient witches who confronted Nathan and only barely escaped, refused to utilize the sanctuary to its fullest potential, instead only utilizing the particular things within the "Owner's Manor", which was the opposite of the approach taken by the owner prior to them, who was an active king who refurbished the manor and built settlements throughout the sanctuary. How Nathan will use it remains to be seen, but it is likely that he will be more active than the witches who attacked him and build connections with the three classes of sanctuary-inhabitants.

Terra

A world linked to The Sanctuary in the wake of an arcane ritual performed by two inexperienced magi. Appears to be a world filled with fantastical races, stuck in the beginnings of what is tantamount to Earth's Iron Age. Is the location of Golden Gate.

Golden Gate

A small human village in the world of Terra. Is led by the elderly human named Mateo Steffanos. Under the protection of the forces of The Sanctuary, especially a small force of robots built by Nathan as a demonstration of his potent technomorphic abilities.

Is part of the kingdom of Parth, which was where Leonardo, Xander, and Mateo Steffanos are from.

Parth

A human kingdom in the world of Terra. Is a monarchy. Is small.

Miscellaneous
Changeling

Changelings are the children of extra-universal entities with supernatural abilities. They are dropped in universes that are not the universes of their birth for reasons known only to their parents. They possess at least two supernatural powers that they acquire at the moment they are sent from one universe to another: an ability to see "Attribute scores" which are the mathematical approximations of someone's grace, charm, intelligence, wisdom, might, and toughness, and an ability to "Steal" portions of someone else's grace, charm, intelligence, wisdom, might, and toughness.

They can also, as they mature, gain further abilities such as the power to take on the forms and traits of other supernatural beings, and the power to shapeshift.

Type-Black Powers

Type Black powers are stealth, deception, and infiltration powers. At tier one, they include the ability to become less-noticeable, the power to contort oneself anyway physically possible, the power to be supernaturally believable, to see in every direction around one's self, and other powers related to deception. At tier two they grow to include things like doppelgänger abilities and other, more aggressive abilities such as the power to create clones.

Type-Green Powers

Type-Green powers are more commonly understood as "Magic" "Witchcraft" and "The Occult". There are more precise terms, in non-human languages, for what type-green powers are, but the simplest, most common terms for these powers are known to humans as "Magic". The majority of "powers" in this family of superpowers are actually the ability to use various schools of magic, such as necromancy, enchantment, illusions, evocation, and other, more specialized schools. Upon gaining access to a school of magic a magician will automatically learn a number of spells, the level and potency of which depend on their own skills as magic users, which of course increase and improve with training, practice, and dedication.

Every user of type-green powers has an internal font of arcane energy, energy which can replenish, and expand, with time, training, and of course, daily usage of magic.

Type-Blue Powers

Type-Blue powers refer to those of the mental and/or psychic variety. People who are innately gifted with regards to blue powers are psychics who possess intensely powerful brains, able to subtly hide their superpowers with sufficient training, and of course learn a tremendous amount of information just by being around people. Powers here include telekinesis, enhanced cognition, mind-reading, psychometry, and other powers.

Type-Red Powers

These powers are of the physical variety but don't usually involve supernaturally transforming the body, and in some cases aren't even obviously supernatural at a glance. They include powers such as super strength, super speed, super senses, healing factors, flight, and regeneration.

Type-Violet Powers

Type-Violet powers are energy manipulation powers. They most often manifest as energy protections, energy constructs, flight, and in some cases the transformation of matter through the infusion or reduction of energy. Masters of type-violet powers are capable of flight at FTL speeds, destroying cities, countries, or even continents with beams and other energy-based attacks.

Type-Grey Powers

Grey powers could be considered to be a specialized subset of blue powers, but that would lead to people underestimating the grey power set. Grey powers allow people to master certain disciplines to ultra-human extents, as well as explosively increase the speed with which skills can be gained, by boosting the processing power of the brain, as well as perfecting it in extremely specific ways. At the lower end of this power set, it allows humans to copy the feats of other humans unerringly, as well as disconnect their wills from their minds and bodies which allows them to ensure that their goals are reached at all costs. At higher levels the powers this set grants its masters could transform human civilization and allow humans to master technologies, mathematics, and more.

Type-Orange Powers

Type-Orange powers refer to the ability to manipulate, at the lower end, things like fire, water, air, light and darkness, and at the higher ends stuff like gravity, the electromagnetic spectrum, and even radiation. Some of these powers, when possessed by a changeling, serve as gateway powers to greater powers by allowing them to acquire physiology powers that can allow them to become elementals. These powers also allow for their wielders to create the things they can control, as well as granting them immunity to the things in question.

Type-Yellow Powers
The yellow power set is among the strangest of all of the power sets. It allows for the manipulation of lifeforms in various ways, such as by allowing someone to manipulate pheromones, and hormones, shape-shift themselves and others, or even control and create various lifeforms. Masters of this power set can create wholly new lifeforms out of nothing, or even manipulate lifeforms on other worlds.
Physiology Powers

One of the greater powers possessed by changelings is the ability to acquire the forms and powers of other supernatural beings. Changelings possess a set of powers known colloquially as "Physiology powers" which allow them to take on the attributes of other supernatural beings, critically, without their weaknesses.

As an example, a changeling with the power known as "Vampire physiology" can utilize all of a vampire's strengths, their hypnotic power, their empowerment whenever they consumed blood, and more, and without their weaknesses to things like holy symbols, fire, stakes, water, and various other things.

These powers are often very costly and normally cost drained points that are parts of so-called secondary attributes, such as faith. They also often require secondary conditions to be fulfilled before becoming purchasable in the first place. One example of this is that to gain elemental powers one needs to have access to the matching type-orange power for the type of elemental they wish to become.

Attributes

Every living creature, and indeed some non-living things, has a set of attributes, which themselves manifest differently to every being with a system. In Nathan's case, as an inhabitant of Earth and a role-playing geek, his system tied his understanding of attributes to the rules of a popular roleplaying game named "Druids and Demons".

There are six primary attributes. To Nathan, these attributes are named Might, Toughness, Grace, Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charm. Humans can have a maximum of twenty across the board with regard to these stats.

Might: A measure of someone's physical power, including their hitting, lifting, and overall strength, as well as their raw combat power.

Toughness: A measure of someone's ability to take and endure physical pain, as well as a measure of their overall physical endurance.

Grace: A measure of someone's agility, dexterity, and their overall speed. Graceful people are skilled at applying their speed, dexterity, and fine-motor skills in a number of ways.

Intelligence: A measure of someone's cognitive processing power, their ability to learn new concepts, and various other measures of cognitive abilities.

Wisdom: Someone's ability, skill, and comfort with the application of their intelligence. Wise people are able to apply their intelligence in a number of ways, such as by being perceptive, being adept at interacting with animals, and the application of medicine.

Charm: Someone's social skills, poise, and force of personality. The most charming people are capable of controlling social situations with ease and are naturally dominant in any sort of social interaction.

There are also secondary attributes such as faith, which can be farmed by changelings but require upgrades to one's innate changeling abilities.

Intuition Power

These are rare powers that grant their wielders tremendous knowledge and mastery over a specific area or discipline.

Known intuition powers: magic intuition, swordmaster, and nanorobotics intuition.

Way Of Life

The minor cult devoted to "Idros", a pseudonym used by Nathan to appear divine to mundane humans, a "divinity" of health and hope. This cult currently consists exclusively of various people throughout Tegucigalpa, all of whom were directly healed either by Nathan himself or by Jorge, the first disciple, and worshiper of Idros. This cult is devoted exclusively to life, health and hope, and they do charitable things throughout the city. Their leader, Jorge, was the very first human to be given power by Nathan; the ability to use healing and transmutation magic in ways that either protect himself and others or heal himself and others.

Type-Pink Powers

Type-Pink powers are a strange set of, at least at the moment, genetically exclusive powers that have emerged within the changeling Nathan Hernandez. These powers revolve around love, lust, sex, passion, beauty, and life. They include a series of disturbing changes to Nathan's biology that, among other things make his semen addictive. Though they first appeared within Nathan in the wake of his acquisition of The Sanctuary, Olivia later revealed they seemed to be genetic and thus are not actually the result of him acquiring power over The Sanctuary but were actually hidden within him this whole time.

Paragon Aberrant

Paragon Aberrants are immensely potent abilities that grant their wielders power on par with divinities. They are some of the abilities that make up a quasi-mythical "Fifth-Tief" of powers. Some examples of their potency include the ability to manipulate matter on a conceptual level, true invincibility, the power to copy any and all powers one comes across, and a large number of other, planet, solar system, and even galaxy changing powers.

Paragon Aberrants can only be wielded by people with sufficient genetic strength and adaptability, a trait that is not common even among superpowered beings but is fairly common among changelings.
