At first I really like the novel and love the premise its was interesting and original just a little bit wierd at the when you start the POV of the men at chapter 12-17 but its ok and doesn't affect the experience at all.

The story has an interesting premise and a surprise, magic is weaker then technology in some waysbut also better in others, one it's better is removing language barriers! But the kingdom is basically stranded in the middle of a sea owned by china, and since they have no way to communicate that long distance without a phone, the results will be interesting!
