'God-tier' gamer with a theoretical Masters in ‘Applied Sociology.’ Yeah, kind of a big deal. Narcissist? Nah, Beryl’s just that good. You can totally trust him. Or her now, after the whole reincarnation thing. It’s complicated.
May or may not have a ‘villainess’ alter ego called Lady Beryl. Don’t ask…
(Beryl sticker commissioned from Hikari Yumeno thanks to SomeAspid!)
A cheerful, quirky young witch in training with infinite curiosity and a penchant for mischief. Who knows what she is really up to...
Nickname: the weirdo. Why? I dunno pal, you'd have to ask Beryl.
She's also kind of 'the (otome) heroine,' but that's more of meta joke ;)

(Viela sticker also commissioned from Hikari Yumeno thanks to SomeAspid!)
Pending nickname: Futania. We'll see ;)
A guard of the capital city with his own lewd agenda. Friend, foe, or scumbag? Probably all of the above.
Nickname: the sleaze
Beryl’s guardian angel, a sweetheart, a real 'stand up guy' you can always count on to help you out of a pinch.
"Yeah, real funny, John..."
Nickname: the cheesy bastard. Aw shucks, Beryl just has the cutest ways of showing her love.
"Hey, I heard that!"
The last heir of his House and a nobleman with incredibly good looks, more gold than he knows what to do with, and untold darkness.
Nickname: Prince Charming
...and 'the creep.'
Ciedrich's personal maid who seems to follow him around and can even teleport. Wait, what?
Nickname: the creepy maid
Yep, as you might have guessed, he's the Demon King. Don't know what else to tell ya; just about everything else is a spoiler.
Seriously, even Beryl's nickname for him is kind of a spoiler. You'll just have to figure it out yourself, pal!
The Demon King's 'right hand lady,' a ruby-haired succubus with absolutely massive assets and a long, whiplike tail. Definitely the dominatrix type, if you got to know her well enough.
Nickname: it's, uh... Beryl, what's her nickname?
"How should I know? I'm not going to give every side character I meet a nickname!"
*sighs* Guess we'll have to wait and see on this one.
"Oh, I've got it! Minerva's nickname will be 'the succubus queen!'"
But, isn't that basically her title? Shouldn't it be more, ya know, nickname-y?
"...John, get out of here."
A crass old crone, a sociopathic scrooge, and a deceptively capable alchemist slash spellcaster who knows more than you can shake a stick at. Coincidentally, she really likes shaking a stick at things. Especially at her pet demon gargoyle. You'll catch a break one of these days, Raglius...
Nickname: the wicked witch
...and secretly she's kind of a loli? It's complicated.
Preeminent archpriest of the Holy Order of the Church of Animus. Yeah, get a load of this guy. Dislikes: demons, spirits, Beryl. Likes: giving his pretentious intro, having long golden hair, asking for the impossible.
Nickname: the archprick. Okay, I gotta hand it to you Beryl, that one's pretty good.
The unremarkably average clerk at The Roach and Rat 'newbie' guild. What are his hopes and dreams? What does he really look like? Why does he get his own glossary entry?!
The world may never know.
In the beginning, there was darkness. Then, there was Weird Shift.
I came into this, thinking that Weird Shift was going to be another standard GB Isekai. And it honestly kind of is. Yeah, the angel in charge of reincarnation is a nutcase. Yeah, the Demon King is a weirdo. Yeah, the main character is shameless. Yeah, the narrator is a sarcastic piece of sh*t. It might be different from the standard, cookie cutter isekai, but most isekai written these days stray from cookie cutter; they follow KonoSuba's footsteps in making a stupid, almost satirical world that defies the norms set by games like Dragon Quest and Final Fantasy. And heck, it's even gender-bender. Wow! How original!
Weird Shift is normal. Cliché even.
However, I rated this 5*s.
Why?
Because the cliché is done well. That's all there is to say about it. It manages to be funny, where many others simply make me cringe. While the writing is amateurish with a few obvious mistakes, it's hardly noticeable unless you're a grammar nazi, like me. The execution of the writing is on-point. There's honestly little to complain about.
Weird Shift is a fairly good example of the non-standard isekai genre. I highly recommend reading it if you liked KonoSuba.

I like where this story is going, Beryl is going from one problem to another while dealing with a bunch of perverts that wants to get between her legs is fun to read.

I had a good laugh, many compared it to konosuba but I didn't think it was so similar.
My final grade is 4, it's fun, but personally I think comedy story doesn't suit lewd content so much.

Weird Shift is truly Weird. In good way.
Just about every character here have some different weirdness to them. From silliness to nutcases. You simply can't find "normal" character here. "Is everyone in this world - pervert?!" (c) Beryl, probably
Story is fun and good. Enjoyed every chapter of it. MC, Beryl, get from one problematic (weird) situation into another. Spiced with little bit of dark in right place, to kick some things of. And some good lewdy spice in couple of right moments, that rather simply being lewds, puts a big smile on your face. Weird right? Oh, it even used for character development, suddenly and weirdly. Well, it's Weird Shift.
Overall 5 out of 5. Maybe a little rough in some places, maybe a little bit cliche here and there (which you don't even pay attention too). But it is great, it is weird in good way. It is good enough to be recommended to people who are not fans of Isekai\GB\GL, because they most likely will have good laughs just from the first chapters.

It starts off rocky, with a generic premise. Shunted to another world where improbable luck abounds for the protagonist right from the start. If you stick with it you might find that the theme of things evens out after a few chapters. Unfortunately, there's humor in places that can give one whiplash from chapter one, and it can clash frequently with the situation at hand.
Things tend to move rather quickly within the story itself though, and some characters become practically soulmates with remarkable speed. Magic is learned at such a blazing pace you might wonder why everyone can't throw fireballs. It's like there's a speedrun completion bonus.
Tldr: It's good if you're bored and need to turn off your brain. Good for reading in a waiting room, which gives it credit. Otherwise there's not much new and engaging unless you're a big fan of harems and generic fantasy settings. If you are? There's definitely a decent variety of girls.
