Characters
Ai, The Apostle Of War

Ai is the wartorn leader of the Warseekers. Her thinking puts her above that of a Warmonger, her belief being more of a religion than a mindset. Despite her title, it is a self-proclaimed title as she isn't really an Apostle. Her title sticks as she has earned her reputation through blood and destruction. She is the most feared mortal in Nostalisk.

As the most powerful Wartorn, it would come as a surprise that Ai looks like a child. Even though Wartorns stay young, Ai is impossible to tell apart from a little girl other than her sharp teeth and red eyes. Her weapons aren't large either, being a rather plain-looking axe and a cured ritual dagger. Her clothes can either be a black and red dress that looks similar to a shrine maiden outfit or a dirty pink dress. Ai's hair is either short brown or long brown. When in battle or when she wants it to be, her hair will grow long and turn black.

The scariest thing about Ai, other than her high body count, is the fact that none of The Apostles have gone and killed Ai for claiming to be an Apostle. In fact, they neither confirm nor deny that Ai is an Apostle. Of course, while Ai clearly isn't an Apostle, the fact that her title is still standing makes her future uncertain. Is she an Apostle or will she be one in the future or are The Apostles just finding her interesting?

Ai's weapons, despite being small for a Wartorn, cannot be weighed as they are too heavy.

Apostles

Beings of immense powers who are higher than Gods. They work for Notch. There are only five Apostles. Those who call themselves an Apostle can expect to be hunted down. Seeing as an Apostle can kill a dragon without breaking a sweat, no one wants to mess with them, especially considering how they have little morals and are insane.

Sharia The Warmonger

Sharia The Warmonger was one of the first disciples of Ai, the self-proclaimed Apostle Of War. She used to work for the Kingdom Of Elstalore and went on to work for the new Kingdom after the kingdoms merged together. She was the reason a lot of wars and battles were won and achieved many great feats. After the biggest threat to the Kingdom was dealt with, Sharia went on to fight a smaller war and after years of endless fighting, Sharia was revealed to be prolonging the war by working in the shadows. She was defeated and captured after much effort and is now an "honorable" prisoner of the Kingdom as she is too important to execute or exile. Given the title of Warmonger during the wars due to her love for war and strange morals and she kept that name even when the wars ended.

The first user of the Varasikara, her fighting style puts her leagues above others. However, she is cruel and has tricky morals. She was made the personal guard of Princess Isalene of the Kingdom one day. Many, when they heard the news, said that it was paring a lion with a mouse.

Princess Isalene

Princess Isalene is the cute, kind, sympathetic, and sometimes smart princess of the Kingdom. She dislikes violence strongly and is a pampered sheltered princess, despite knowing some basic combat skills. She is actually quite good with strategy. She has one trait that only a few know, and for good reason too. Isalene has a strong sense of curiosity. So strong is it that she'll even do stupid things just to sate it. Despite her hating violence, she can't help but be drawn to Sharia The Warmonger. She doesn't know truly what it is about Sharia that draws her to them but her curiosity gets the better of her. For better or for worse, she makes the Warmonger her personal guard. There is a saying that goes like this. "The curious mouse never lives long.." Princess Isalene, after she did this, is often described as the mouse in that saying.

The Inquisitors

A lot of factions have their own inquisitors but only one group is truly called The Inquisitors. Back when religion ran rampant in settlements in the West, these people came in, many of them female representing the so-called "witches" that were burned. They came during times when a witch hunt was started or the "devil" was supposedly near and massacred either most or the entire settlement without mercy. They successfully stopped the religion of one God and destroyed the bad reputation of the devil and witches with brutal succession. Now, they can only be found scattered around, looking for work and waiting for a reason to come back together again and start their "mission" again.

They are masters of their greatsword and dagger, using the two with deadly efficiency. The ends of their armored hands end in claws, making fighting them hand to hand an incredibly bad idea. Despite what they have done, they don't hate religion and often think of themselves as soldiers of Gods, on a noble mission to purge those who use Gods name for wrongdoings as ridiculous as "witch" hunts.

Ogres

Ogres are large lumbering muscle heads whose origins are unknown. Whether they are mutated humans or their own race is unclear. Despite the fact that ogres can live for a year without food or water, they still require a lot of it and will eat whenever there is food nearby. As such, their upkeep makes them expensive to have in an army, especially a small one. However, they more than makeup for that with their fighting prowess. Large, heavy, and surprisingly good fighters, they can easily change the tide of battle. Another good thing about them is that arrows don't bring them down easily. In fact, range weapons, while good at keeping them at bay or harassing them, do not do much in the way of killing them.

Ogres typically live in tribes and are not above eating humans in order to sustain their large appetites. Their favorite food is actually soup. Unlike what some nasty rumors say about them, ogres are actually very hospital and civilized, even if they don't know or care much about honor. They will come back for their own kind and they can make decent armor and weapons. Most ogre tribes are ruled by a red skinned ogre.

Warseekers

This group, mostly made up of females, work under Ai, the self-proclaimed Apostle Of War. Like Ai, they will do whatever it takes to make sure war keeps on going. They are skilled fighters that can take on armies by themselves. They often carry with them a Varatharasata, which weighs around eight hundred to even in the thousands of pounds. They can be described in three words; Pretty, crazy, and dangerous. They are to be feared and, seeing as most of the Warseekers are Wartorn, they are incredibly dangerous. That is not even mentioning their training. Absolutely devoted to their cause and to each other, there has been no case of one ever defecting.

Strangely enough, despite their love for gore and war, they love sweet things and can be offered sweets and prayers to their self-proclaimed Apostle for protection or safe passage. They dress in black and red and usually have red flags attached to their outfit or weapons, the longer it is the more that Warseeker has killed. Their outfit resembles a shrine outfit mixed in with a dress. Every Warseeker has red eyes that glow when excited. Warseekers cannot be bought and will only work for each other, Ai, or usually a one-time deal offer to help in battle or for the army/battle to be left alone.

Bloody Marrie, The Warmonger Of Vanyan

One of the legendary commanders in Nostalisk and one of the feared Warmongers, Marrie, despite her young age, is a ferocious warrior with a short fuse and a love for battle. Her fuse will often cause her to kill or maim her own troops in sparring if her excitement or anger levels can't be relieved. This personality of hers doesn't bother the Vanyans that much as they are a faction that loves fighting and blood, decorating their homes with skulls and bones. Marrie is a great cook and a great strategist on top of being the best fighter the Vanyans and the Northwest have to offer. Like most Vanyans, Marrie has thick yet silky white hair and blue eyes. Unlike most Vanyans, her skin is more tan than pale.

Despite her looks and childish demeanor, Marrie isn't a Wartorn. Her looks come from the Vanyans natural beauty. The moment Marrie was appointed as one of the four High Commanders of the Vanyans, she pushed the Council towards war, showing them a great plan on how to do it. The plan took years in the making and not once has Marrie, even at the age of twelve when she started it, stopped or showed any remorse or hesitation for what the plan entails. She plans to take full part in it as well. Her fighting style is fast, brutal, and hard to counter. Since Marrie has a lot of stamina and will fight with reckless abandon, she often gets wounded and very bloodied at the end of battles, leading to her name of Bloody Marrie. That and her attitude which gave her the Warmonger title adds up to Marrie's battle name being Bloody Marrie, The Warmonger Of Vanyan.

Marrie has a broad reputation and, because Marrie often lacks armor and doesn't use her soldiers as meat shields, enemies often single her out with heavy fire, putting her out of the battle for a bit or, if they are lucky, injure her so much that she can't fight at all. Still, just having her around, even if she gets taken out, is enough to cause her soldiers to fight to the death.

A surprising fact that many do not know is that Marrie has a daughter back home. Whether she is a good mother or who her partner is not known since Marrie spends most of her time on the battlefield and away from home. No one asks her why as she either gets sad or very angry when the topic is brought up. Her sister is another sore subject for her. Her full name is Marrie Ashta.

The Warmongers

These are not of a faction or oath of any kind. These people simply love war and see a truth in it. A truth they wholly believed. They are given the title of Warmonger and push others to war and fights. A Warmonger will never allow the Great Wars to end. Powerful, these people go down in history. They can either be skilled in the art of fighting or skilled in the art of manipulation and tactics. Either way, they use their skills to make sure war remains strong. Most Warmongers know of each other and, whether out of respect or because they are after the same thing, they often leave each other alone.

Johnson, The Iron Commander

Johnson Gregory is the famed commander of the Iron Shield Legion and is nicknamed the Iron Commander for his iron will and grit. With his halberd, he has slain many foes and has held the northern side of the Kingdom during the time it was involved with the Great Wars and the Alcomite War. He isn't well known to those who fought in the front lines of the Great Wars and the Alcomite War but he is well respected by many of the soldiers in the Kingdom.

Despite his cheery attitude and his care for his soldiers, Johnson thinks the Kingdom has been made weak after their involvement with the wars ended. His real thoughts make him dangerously close to being a Warmonger but he only shows these thoughts to a rare few. He is most famed for his fight against Chen Sui and his army. He held them back for three days and, even though he lost the fourth day, he managed to buy some time for the Kingdom to reinforce their harbors...though the reinforcement did little to stop Chen Sui and his forces. Johnson does not like talking about that fight at all.

Samuel Grillant, Grand Advisor Of The Kingdom

Once known as Captain Grillant, he was promoted to Gand Advisor after the Kingdom's involvement in the Great Wars ended. He used to work under Sharia The Warmonger but joined the King's personal legion before the war ended. He was also the person who helped take Sharia down after her betrayal, though he didn't fight her.

His weapon of choice is a large cutlass. He is old but still a good fighter. Like some commanders including Sharia, Grillant thinks the Kingdom's soldiers have become stale after the wars. He gets what Sharia believes in but thinks she is going about it the wrong way. Like his title suggests, Grillant is very smart and wise.

Items
Varasikara

A special weapon that belongs to the Warbingers, or those who work under Ai. This is a less commonly used weapon but takes the form of a sword. The weapon can expand from the hilt to form the common weapons of the Warbringers, Varatharasata, being a halbert mixed with a scythe. Though skinner and less effective than the base weapon, it still serves the same purpose. So far, only a few have these weapons with the first belonging to Sharia The Warmonger, a disciple of Ai. The name Varasikara means Warseeker. The name fits the weapon as its users often search for war and battle.

Unlike the Varatharasata, the Varasikara only weighs about three to four hundred and eighty pounds. No normal person could ever hope to use it efficiently.

Varatharasata

The name means, Warthurst. It is a massive weapon that weighs close to or over six hundred and eighty pounds. It is a combination of a halbert and scythe with a blade-like end. The staff of the weapon itself is incredibly sharp and is so reinforced that it won't get scratched even under a year of constant sawing. These weapons are used by the Warbringers and those who work under Ai. Their color scheme is typically black and red and some are accompanied by a red flag. The longer the red flag, the higher their kill count is. No normal human can hope to wield the weapon, let alone use it efficiently. No one knows if it is a curse or not but all those who use it are insane. Invented by Ai.

Location
Vanyan

Vanyan is a large alliance of nomadic tribes up in the North and Northwest. Despite them being "nomadic" and "divided", all the tribes work together and live in sprawling cities with technology that would put a lot of factions to shame and DO NOT move. They are allied to the Vikings and the Valtar and were once allied to the Kingdom. Vanyans have a unique appearance. They normally have silver or white hair and blue eyes as well as unusual strength. Their breath also makes the air foggy and cold.

Vanyan is feared for their use numbers, skilled fighters, and their technology to their advantage and often go on 'War Rampages' every few decades, where they demolish the lands below, pillaging and raiding and even destroying Factions, though they don't do it often. They are most known for their siege equipment, which put other factions to shame.

The land of Vanyan is cold and snowy filled with forests and icy lakes. It is pitch black at night and often misty during the day. Because of this, Vanyans have night vision, making their eyes glow slightly in the dark. When Vanyans breathe, they sometimes let out their 'cold breath', which is the result of them growing up in the cold frigid place they call paradise.

Vanyans live for battle. They barely falter and they won't bat an eye at death. Their houses are decorated with bones and skulls and Vanyans are often called savages in all contents. Despite their so-called savages, they have no hate towards any race or country except for Senshi. The reason why is a closely guarded secret. Like the Vikings, Vanyans live for raiding. Unlike the Vikings, the Vanyans have no need for raiding as they have more then enough resources to sustain themselves for an undetermined but long time.

Despite the Vanyans being a threat to almost all Factions, they are still around for a couple of reasons. The Vanyan home is cold and harsh and they have the arguably most deadly mortal army in all of Nostalisk. They also have a population of 4.4 million with almost all of them being warriors. Their Commanders are strong and their soldiers' morale will rarely falter. Vanyan also has four nasty surprises that keep enemies away. One is a relationship with the Vikings. The other is their relationship with Valtar, who is ruled by a Warmonger. The Vanyans themselves also have a Warmonger named Bloody Marrie. The last reason is Marrie's sister. She isn't well known but those who face her and survive to tell others not to invade Vanyan for this reason. Marrie's sister is a wartorn, and is completely loyal to Vanyan. Fighting a wartorn is a tricky and almost always a suicidal thing to do.
