Notably, Li Ya is a traditionally feminine name, thus making his name peculiar. In Shangrinese, Li Ya is written as
The Tayu Oiran of Shangri-La, she is the highest-ranking courtesan in Hshiwara and holds superior power and influence over the city. She detests the corruption and injustices that pervades the city, yet actively takes part in it as one of the city's elites.
Though she calls herself Shihime (using the rarer traditional pronunciation), locals usually refer to her by her common name Shi niang-niang instead (niang-niang is a honorific used to reflect her high social status).
"Shangri-La is not governed by politics, but by beauty and sex. That's why it's called the City of Sin and Salvation, and not even the Pacifists can hope to change that." —Shihime
In Shangrinese, her name is written as
A servant girl under Shihime. Zhu'er isn't her real name, but rather the name given to her by her master which she adopted. (In Shangri-La, it is common for masters to give their favorite servants "pet names")
In Shangrinese, Zhu'er is written as
A Kamuro, due to her relatively low status, usually doesn't have a name and is referred to as a "protégée". However, Shihime broke this social norm by giving her the name Hasumi (the rarer traditional pronunciation, only used by Shihime herself). Her common name is Lian Xin.
Lian Xin habitually uses a variant of kuruwa kotoba in her speech, an accent used by Shangri-La courtesans to distinguish their profession. She also tends to avoid using pronouns such as 'I' and 'you', often referring to herself and others in third person.
Interestingly, Lian Xin likes to write her name vertically instead of horizontally. In Shangrinese, Lian Xin is written as
The owner of Dragon Gate Inn, she is otherwise known as "Sister" among the courtesans of Shangri-La due to her senior status. She was the most famous coutersans during her time, even being offered the position of Tayu Oiran at one point in time. However, she unexpectedly declined and decided to open her own teahouse in Hshiwara instead, predominantly hiring courtesans who were rejected by other teahouses to give them a second chance.
Just like Shihime, her name follows the rarer traditional pronunciation, but she does not have a common name. In Shangrinese, her name is written as

A barren grassland characterized by hills and uneven terrains. Temperatures drop below freezing during nightfall, making it unsuitable for human habitation. The Qing River runs through it to the south.
Shangri-La is a populous city adapted from the beta map of the same name. It is famously known as the City of Sin and Salvation due to the rampant corruption and crime that plagues it. However, its location along the Qing River makes it a very convenient trading and commerce hub, hence attracting millions of people all over the continent to live within its borders. Shangri-La is under the control of the Pacifists on paper, but in reality the handful of elites are the ones with true power and influence over the city.

Really intriguing story that gets more interesting as it goes on. The world building and character development are amazing and the writing is also one of the best I've read so far. Plot has a lot of potential and am looking forward to where the story is heading. Highly recommended and definitely worth a read so far

Style:The style is a nice one. The way the author made the first few chapters just a massive info dump makes it a bit boring in my opinion. Info dumps are cool when done in a way that still makes it exciting, info dumping while two characters are conversing or when one character is personally putting their input and opinions on said info dump, makes it a nicer info dump that also lets the characters shine a bit. That aside, I like how it's written and I like the premise of the story and the world. 4 stars!
Grammar:Grammar is nice and good, there aren't any mistakes that I could notice. 5/5 stars!
Characters:
The Goddess is definitely my type of character, a goofy and lazy person that's in a position of power always leads to fun outcomes. From the chapters that I've read, she's pretty cool, though I think that her personally going down to earth to meet someone she'll be reincarnating doesn't really fit her whole character and personality, but it was a fun sequence and I appreciate it. Shun's pretty vanilla though, not that that's wrong, but a little spice never hurt anyone, still a nice character though, I love his reactions. 5/5 stars!
There's nothing more to say really, the characters are written nicely, the style is cool, and the story itself has good grammar so we can read it nicely and without any hitches. 4.5 stars cause the style, but yeah it's a nice story with a good plot!
