Earth nearly collapsed on April 4th, 2029. When fantastical creatures appeared out of dimensional gates, the Earth was definitely not prepared. Modern weaponry had no effect on any of the otherworldly creatures, leaving humanity to almost perish. Not even a year later, almost 6 billion humans had already died from the monsters, however, the remainder of humanity attained abilities that could help them defeat monsters.
Super strength, Incredible Speed, and Impregnable Defense along with the ability to use magic were only the short end of the straw when it came to the various abilities the remaining two billion humans had attained. However, not all people had awakened these powers, a good 10% of the remaining population had not received or awakened abilities, causing those who had abilities to become the upper-class, and the non-ability users to become the low-class. The remnants of humanity's governments had come together and built a safe-haven in Australia for the humans whom remained, allowing those with or without abilities to live safely.
The people who had awakened abilities were registered in the government's database before gaining the option to go out of the safe-haven and fight monsters in and out of the gates, those who did go out and fight were called Champions. The government had made a place known as the Champion's Association which bought and sold various different things that could help a Champion. Here, the Champions could sell monster cores that were found in the beasts bodies that were similar to a heart for a good price depending on a monster's ranking, they could also buy gear and equipment manufactured from the corpses of monsters.
However, this story follows a 17 year old young man that was found to be unawakened, with this, his hope for the future was crushed to pieces. His mother, as well as his 7 year old younger sister were also unawakened, leaving them in the low-class of this semi-new society. Having the highest chance to awaken an ability at the age of 5, Killua Minho, our protagonist, despairs. Though with a stroke of godly luck, Killua receives an ability at the age of 17, however, his ability is something no-one has ever seen before. His ability is a game like interface that allows him to grow stronger with the enemies he kills and attain other abilities with a touch and a chance.
He luckily regresses back 1 year back in time due to an immense and critical injury that his system deemed an emergency. Planning to hide most of his power, Killua registers with the Champion association and becomes a Champion. Unfortunately, the first gate he went into trapped him inside alone, leaving him to fend for himself in the continental sized closed-dimension. Now, please follow as Killua Minho travels along the path of strength(and sex).
