Was an okay read until the first side story when the author made a character that literally got his life ruined because he was summoned with his childhood friend because she agreed to it and was taken along because she was cute so they let her decide for him. Not only that but Kaoru the guy who got summoned argued that he got taken and was punished for it by being turned into a girl and was forced to basically be a slave to his childhood friend who literally did nothing to help him instead was just letting the goddess do whatever she literally is the worst human being out there. Basically poor character writing if this were a revenge story where Kaoru ended fighting against the goddess at least that would be something but nope he's now a slave to his childhood friend who doesn't care about him in the slightest. I suck at writing reviews sorry.

Reincarnated as the Goddess of the sea is a good novel if you're looking the niche world creation w/ God protagonist. There are alot of timeskips due to the MC having a different sense of time as a goddess that could either end up as a good or bad point. Some examples are how she spent 500 years building her own home or casually spending 2 years to pet some fluffy foxes.
Though it's still in the early chapters, one thing I like is how the story focuses on the MC's point of view without detracting too much. I won't explicitly say the name but two top creation-related novels I read with a similar premise ends up spiraling away leading to most chapters consisting entirely of side characters with the main character forgotten and the plot brought to a standstill.
That said, this novel does have many lacking points. Though none are too severe, they're worth mentioning.
There's one review by Ougon that I feel exaggerates alot about how a side character was treated. I agree that character design was poorly done but not enough to immediately drop the story. While it's true that Kaoru ended up screwed over the goddess and his childhood friend did nothing to help, it came as a result of him trash talking about the goddess's sisters, who is a hardcore siscon. Many of the points of Ougon are later addressed in the next 2 side story chapters with the childhood friend feeling sorry for dragging him into this and saying she won't abuse obedience skill. The goddess also gave Kaoru a way to get rid of it by having his apology accepted by the three goddesses who he insulted.

The story so far is interesting, the gramatic isn't great but the whole is readeable,
The chaos goddess made the story a little confiusing and her defeat was fast (what is good because she wasn't intersting) but the motive of restoring destroyed world and time lapse from god perspective is good.
1-23 [I give 4 star because the gramma in some sentences gave me eye ache]
I am waiting for more chapters, maybe in the future my rating will change.
