Isekai, fantasy, with the core themes of Identity and Fate. The story contains a, mostly, lesbian cast.

Just when she was about to confess to the man of her dreams, Eve is taken by a light to another world. Swallowing her up, against her will, eroding her, it demands a life so contrary to her previous one. In a new world with the title of “Zeroth” forced upon her, she must rely on her newfound “friends” to stay sane and navigate her responsibilities.
But bit by bit, the world loses sight of the girl inside; seeing only “Zero,” the person she did not desire to be, but the hero that the world needed.
Will Eve let the title she bears consume her, or will she become the hero in both body and mind? This is the tale of her struggles, and a star-crossed love destined by Fate to never converge. This is the tale of Zero.

This story is a slow-burn, meant to be a few hundred pages or more in length, so the plot isn't the fastest to move. It also has lesbian-themed relationships for the majority of its cast. This story partially falls under, "harem" with the main character being female and gaining the affection of other females, against (at first) the main character's (Eve) will.
This first arc will be more focused on the mentality and emotions of the cast with battles spaced intermittently. The second arc will involve a lot more fighting.

Zeroth Knight is about a young girl who got dragged away from her mediocre but mostly content life on earth to another world where she has to lead a life she didnt want and suffers for it.
Volume 1 is a journey of self-discovery so you can expect alot of psychological drama in a fantasy world with a bit of action and alot of mystery. The romance part of the story is
negligible and you will understand why after the first few chapters.
A fair warning: If you decide to read Zeroth Knight you should be prepared to read the sequel. Volume 1 will leave you with alot of questions that demands answers and most of them will be found in volume 2.

Review of arc1:
If I had to define this novel I would say that this is a different Isekai.
Neither the action, fantasy or romance genre are the strong point in this novel, the strongest point is the psychological and mystery genre.
Our main character, Eve, was transported to a new world where her old world ideals and this new world society collides. Unlike most isekais she actually suffers... that is to be expected when you are sent to another world I guess. Another refreshing point is that even is the title of our main character, the Zeroth, is mean to be strong she is not overpowered. The romance is bound by fate and don't expect a fuffly novel in that aspect.
In my opinion one of the best mistery and psychological novels in this site.

To be completely honest, I wasn't expecting much when I saw this story and read the description, but I still went ahead and saved it because I don't have anything to read...
And Thank God I did!
this is truly a good story. I'm not good with words, but lemme try to describe it... it has substance... I don't feel like I'll be stupid while reading it... hmmm sorry I'm really not good with words..
Bottom line is, this is a story that I would recommend.

Wow! Really great story so far. A delicious combination of fluffy lesbian romance, psychological drama/mystery, and action.

The story is fairly interesting and I find myself having little to nothing to complain about besides some very minor things.
The start can be a bit rocky and a bit confusing not gonna lie. But I did find myself making sense of the start once I got past the initial 3 or so chapters.
The story has multiple interesting things going on with it. Without going into much of spoilers e.g.
The main characters struggle to deal with foreign influences affecting her personality. The story takes a bit of a psychological aspect that is interesting to me despite my usual dislike for them.
The MC is forced to be with these women that they've never met before in a new world. I can't really recall any time where it's a female MC being forced into a relationship with other women. I find it interesting as the MC deals with their acceptance of the same s*x. Also, I'm a fan of Yuri so there is that...
The women introduced are interesting honestly. Usually, my initial impression of a character won't end up changing. But here it has. A character I initially disliked due to her coming across as an arrogant and jealous woman has actually been revealed to have more than just a one-note personality to them. So far it seeming to be the same for all the characters.
The world doesn't overly come across as evil or obsessed with the MC. This does feel like a world that is more believable for the type of MC. The MC is entrusted with any big powers but is more of a symbol for the public. It is kind of an interesting way to set up the world.
The story I like and find myself waiting for the next chapter to come.

I am definitely hooked on this story. What has really kept me on this novel is the author commenting and replying in the comments section.
Anyone wondering if they should give this story a shot, what keeps you reading is the fluffy interactions between our MC and the girls, and also, the backstories of the girls before they met our MC which has not been fully revealed, but there are snippets of those backstories that show themselves every now and then. The harem girls did have lives and passions before they met our MC which differentiates them from some other harem stories. Also fluff.
Whenever our MC isn't being fluffy with the girls, then she's like listening to Uninstall by Yowane Haku... which is depressing. Our MC is super unstable even before she got isekaied which makes her a time bomb in the new world. It makes me really want to see her get closer to the girls so they can all be happy.
Expect a lot of drama and emotions from our MC and the girls as they all come to terms with their lives together since this is the first arc of the story. So often times they're all getting angry, frustrated, or depressed until our MC finally gets her sh*t together or uses her charm to change the mood.
The mystery tag comes from the world building and the Zeroth title. Whenever, the author reveals something about either of these, a big question is raised which keeps you invested and waiting for the reveal.
There are some crazy character 180s that happen which really make me want some side chapters from those character's point of view so can understand their thought process, but so far, the story has only been told from our mc's perspective.
There are two fights and of course magic used in those fights, but the author has not explained it in-depth yet. The magic system has been very soft so far. If you like action and combat you'll probably have to wait for arc two.
